Obama will NOT say sorry to Pak over Nato strike deaths:

Earlier it was Gen Martin Dempsey, the most senior figure in the US military who refused to apologise for the air strike that killed 24 Pakistan soldiers. Asked if there was anything to apologise for, Gen Dempsey said: “absolutely not”.

And now, President Obama has refused to apologise too!

The White House has ruled out President Barack Obama offering "formal condolences" to Pakistan over the killing of its 24 soldiers in a NATO strike.

The request for this came on Monday, two days after the NATO attack, from US envoy to Pakistan Cameron Munter, who said that a formal video message from Obama was needed to help prevent the rapidly deteriorating relations between the two countries from cratering, administration officials were quoted as saying by the daily.

"The ambassador, speaking by video conference from Islamabad, said that anger in Pakistan had reached a fever pitch, and that the United States needed to move to defuse it as quickly as possible," the officials said.

Move quickly as possible to diffuse the situation? But nothing seems to have moved in that direction. The least a conceited Obama could have done was to express condolences. Or is it too much to ask for?

apology will do nothing to Pakistan.US should concentrate on Afghanistan and make it a peaceful place for Afghans and so Pakistanis rest in peace at home.

Who is asking them to apologize.... Pakistan has already stated apology won't be enough.

BTW title has been contorted by OP..

If Pakistan started to respond to these skirmishes, the Americans would not keep acting bolder. Who cares if we would have had losses, they would have never attacked again. By allowing the Americans to attack our military, the government just gave them the green light to keep on taking futher abuse. Also the army cannot act independently due to the government. I feel bad for our Armed Forces, because they were betrayed by their government.

The Americans have killed the innocent Pakistani soldiers and still they owe no regrets and the very own citizen who should be finding a way to force his government to take some action against the US is finding conspiracy theories of why they havent apologised isnt that something aweful????:what:They kill, they go away just like that and still you dont force any actions???Apathy at its best..

On Wednesday, Mr. Kerry was guarded in his comments about the border episode. “We all appreciate how deeply this tragedy has affected the Pakistani people, and we have conveyed our heartfelt condolences through multiple channels,” Mr. Kerry said in an e-mail. “Ultimately, the only way to move the ball forward is to focus on areas where our interests align and where we can really make progress. Our two countries need each other.”
