Tired of murre and nathiagali.

What's there to explore? I know Naran or other lakes, but I reckon it'd be too cold and inaccessible?

Anyone knows new roads being made for more accessible tourist areas?

By the way I want to go to shangrila resort. Possible? I prefer to drive from Isb, murre, other cities on the way.

most roads be closed or two difficult to drive for first timers, try to fly to Skardu to reach the shanrgila resort.. but it will be cold and snow, nothing else, you wont be able to do tracking or anything...

I contacted rhem. They're close November till March.

Airplane ticket is $120 one way :( and I've to get to Islamabad first too. I wanted to have a drive since many other spots come on the way.

I was there just in May, should've gone then :(

As the title says, northern areas. I believe ziarat is in Baluchistan.

Will swat and neelum be accessible around Christmas time?

What airline you flying?

Try Saudia, cheap miles spending once accumulated

Or get Alaska credit card, buy miles and travel Emirates first class at half cost, assuming you don't earn pennies from advertising here. I'm sure some of us can help you out with "clicks" ;)

You can drive to Skardu. This will help: Welcome to HEAVEN ON EARTH .... SHANGRILA HOTELS AND RESORTS
I would suggest going in winters, but if you are going to Skardu in Winters, would suggest the aerial route, anything can happen via road, trust me. Plus you can visit many places in Skardu, as in Deosai. If you are planning to go to Gilgit, i would personally suggest coming in summers, much to see Fairy meadow, Hunza, Nagar, much to see.

This is what one of our PMLN friends suggested.

Mate, the weather will be way too harsh for a him, I guess. I'd recommend all first timers to come between June - August, maybe even September. That goes for you too Webby! :D

If any of you are hell bent on coming in December or January, take a flight as the terrain (and specially the situation on the ground etc etc) is pretty much unforgiving for newbeez, and people who are obviously not local.
