Research and development takes ample amount of time, Eurofighter typhoon and Rafale took more than 20 years to develop. R&D is lot more tougher and time-consuming then buying and inducting weapons off the shelf from any foreign country.

Whoops! Sorry, wrong pic. Nevertheless the Arihant has been built and as far as I'm aware is currently undergoing sea trails.

Yes, I agree our developments/procurements are painstakingly slow. Blame bureaucracy/corruption/indecisiveness for that. Take your pick.

LCH had first flight previous year. its an advanced attack helicopter so two years of flight tests needed.

according to you how many years it should take to develop a attack chopper like LCH?
