Where is our foreign office? What are they doing right now? Are they sleeping? After parliament resolution..did our foreign office make an effort..to call GCC ambassadors and explain to them..our resolution? Should they have not atleast made an effort to explain Pakistan's POV in totality? We are not at all seeing any serious diplomatic engagement from Pakistan.......The impression which media has created and is being covered worldwide tht Pak has outrightly rejected any Saudis call for help..and will only remain neutral ......Is this the impression..we should be gving to them? While the same resolution also talks abt giving support to KSA in case of being threatened and Pak working with GCC closely for regional stability...but this aspect has totally been ignored in media worldwide .......... Shouldnt our foreign office be explaining to them our constraints ..tht due to our domestic compulsions..we cant join Yemen war?..we shouldnt join fighting in Yemen at all.........but at the same time..we should atleast send some troops for Saudis internal stability as a token /symbolic gesture to show our support for Saudis...
To those who are saying tht Houthis are no match for Saudis firepower and KSA is not threatened...but in the same way.. TTP also was no match for Pak army's firepower conventionally...they were planning, gven support through Indian consulates in Afghanistan, just on Pakistans border, and yet they havebeen a headache for us..since last 10 years.. And hv been the biggest threat to Pakistan recently.........So if KSa feels threatened by Houthis, backed by Iran, who have toppled Yemen govt, tht they can be a serious threat to KSA stability..can they be really blamed? So..i think...althoug we are engaged domestically...but sending some troops to KSA only, for its internal stability, and not Yemn, as a symbolic gesture to show moral support for KSA wont harm anyone?
Sending some troops to KSa is another debate but our foreign office has not even made any serious attempt to even explain our parliament resolution to GCC in totality...and they hav let the world media take its own impression /interpretation from it... Wht is our foreign office actually doing right now? The only thing wee is telephonic conversation between Nawaz Sharf and Turkish President...and thts it... Every other day...these two leades talk and thts it... Tht is total Pakistan's total diplomatic contibution to this crisis... Atleast Erdogan is stll visiting countries...but our foreign office has not even taken the time out to call ambassadors of important countries, esp GCC countries to explain clearly...our whole POV..in this crisis......and to wht extent..we can go...and what are our constraints right now? Really disappointed in our foreign office
