What's the policy of current ruling party on higher education?

Apparently ruling party of Pakistan has introduced massive spending cuts on higher education, in comparison to previous ruling party.

This represent clash of policies among two different political parties!

Which one is more beneficial for Pakistan and why.... please share opinion, specially the ruling party!

Same thing. Education isn't important. When we should be striving to make >90% people literate, we are not taking it seriously at all.

I personally think it's a national emergency. Something like the Billion Tree tsunami is needed for education. I think it was rightly said that the pen is mightier than the sword. Educated countries today are also the most powerful.

Its getting worst day by day. Higher Education Commission is facing 50% budget cut thanx to our ruling Janta. In my knowledge some Public sector universities are hardly giving salaries to their staff. Other bonuses, medical allowances are removed or reduced. HEC was reimbursing all the fees paid by university students who belonged to FATA or Balochistan, but now situation is turning into real nightmare.

Money paid by Govt was hardly going into right direction.Pakistan has a considerable budget for research purpose but we don't see any kind of fruits of that research.
