What will South Asia look like in 100 years?

Always wondered what this region would like in the future and how it will behave.

Would it evolve into a peaceful societies who have moved away from tribal mentality and be developed and wealthy.

Or a constant war like scenario where spymasters are playing games with each other?

Most likely developed, just like Europe. This region will be very powerful

To develop South Asia there's a lot to be done, first of which is eliminating useless conflict and increase trade regardless of differences within nations. South Asia is the least connected part of the world which is an utter shame. Reliance on ideology should be eliminated and state and people should be pragmatic, unlike Arabs South Asia doesn't have natural resources so we have to rely on human capital. Lastly, as the biggest population India should take its role as a responsible country to lead and interconnect South Asia.

Some of my predictions about the world and South Asia are:

• There will be territorial dispute on the moon
• There will be daily flights from planet earth to moon
• The world might be starving for lack of sweet water if we did not take any action today / Most nations would be drinking sea water by then
• Personal robot for everybody
• New sex toys will be invented, po*n industry will have progressed most after 100 years
• The tallest building in the world would be located somewhere in South Asia or China
• China would have been the first nation to reach economy of 100 trillion dollars and would have gdp of over 250 trillion dollars
• Pakistan will be amongst the 10 richest nations in the world
• There will no monarchy in Saudi Arabia
• There will finally be bullet train in Pakistan and the whole world would have been connected through rail passing through Pakistan, India and China
• LCA Tejas Mark III would still be under development

As developed as the west. The world is moving towards poverty eradication, and I suspect by 2050-60, there will be no poor country in the world. I wager that even Somalia will likely become middle class by 2100.

South Asia is set to become the next EU, and from what I've seen, it'll most likely be led by India. Pakistan will probably play an opposition role in this new union (much like the UK), with India leading it (much like Germany) economically.

Anyway, regardless of Pakistan-India rivalry, the sub-continent is set to rise in strength and become a global power.

I can do more predictions such as

• Islam will be the largest religion on earth
• Pakistan would have officially been declared a secular nation

Probably territorial disputes won't matter much as there will be free movement of people and money across borders

South Asia will be one of the most powerful geographic areas in the world both militarily and economically

There will be a single South Asian common market.

There could be reverse immigration from West to South Asia.

South Asia could have universities that would rival Harvards and Stanfords of the world.
