PM Imran Khan is at the political cross road and needs to do something very decisively, very much like batting the last ball in a cricket match final and needing to hit a Six. We know he has done it in the past on the cricket pitch can he do the same in the political arena but what should he do?

.
Imran should call for snap elections. If he is confident of people's support, then why not prove this and gain a stable government in the process for next 5 years?

On the other hand, if he does not win the snap elections.. then that is the democratic choice if Pakistani electorate. So he will at the least, not feel cheated.

No strike when the iron is hot and deal with them all through article 6 then hold elections after his term finishes against a clean opposition. He will take clear majority then the real work will begin.

This is no longer a democracy or an opposition.

Also the foreign elements need to be sent a message by Khan completing his term.

Suspension of democracy will be unacceptable to the sizeable opposition in Pakistan. This will destabilize the country and alarm foreign investors.

Internal instability is more harmful to a country than any external enemy. You'll have big protests in street everyday and economy will crash. I'll not recommend this as an option under such possibilities :pop:

The narrative is a PM who plants trees and builds cancer hospitals against traitors and criminals. They are not going to going to get cut off from the world, this will improve their reputation.

Who are you referring to?

Western countries will make the narrative that suit their interests. If Imran takes a position against them, then it will be natural for them to disapprove of any strong arm tactics from him.

Before you say that Pakistan does not need the west, please check the country's export partners and the privileged market access that has been an aid to exports.

He is not taking a position against them, just cleaning the house before normal service is resumed. They will go to court for everyone to see. The charges are real and the corruption is real. Accountability needs to happen.

Face NCM and run a great election campaign as opposition will be busy in their bander baant. Come back with clear majority.

Coincidentally, Sri Lanka's President has declared emergency today.

If Pakistan should follow through as per the popular opinion in this poll, the two countries in sub continent will have similar political emergency in peace time :pop:

If I were in Imran Khan's shoes I would leave Pakistan immediately and think about his children. It doesn't matter what happens to the political party.

He tried his best, but it wasn't good enough. In reality he should have started operation clean-up from day one. He didn't. Instead he relied on the same corrupt generals, bureaucrats, politicians and judges that took him down. He should have known what was coming next. The treachery came in abundance. To think that Imran Khan can now make a comeback is cynical. We know that the generals are in US pocket. If Imran Khan continues on his charted path he should expect suffering. No matter how much I disagree with Imran Khan's soft approach during his power I don't want to see him suffer. He is an honest man that Pakistan doesn't deserve.

You seem to be enjoying watching and reading about turmoil in other countries, that is twisted.

What makes you think that I enjoy this? Unlike most members in this forum, I always discourage any form of disorderly dissent.

The tone and the emoji are sardonic. It is directed at the popular opinion given by this poll. It does not mean that I feel schadenfreude.
