Some PanIslamists I've seen want different countries in a federation or union. Others think nationalism is haram and want only one caliphate. Maybe I should have specified those two in the poll.

Some PanIslamists I've seen want different countries in a federation or union - This is because countries and nations are already formed and this was done by plan or by disagreements within Muslims. So its best to make a federation or union and keep everything the same. During the beginning of Islam we had Madina State, their was Iraq, Yemen, Shaam etc.

Others think nationalism is haram and want only one caliphate - Alot of these are western agents, they want to destroy the current countries, destroy the flags, army etc. What will this lead to? Destruction of the ummah and absolutely no benefit, it will send Muslims back 50 years. The union or federation can be also Islamic Caliphate and under it 57 Muslim states. All states will have own parliaments but Caliphate will have own parliament like in the EU. The islamist parties are mostly hijacked by the west agencies or they are just jahil. Otherwise the outcome of their plan will not lead to the destruction of the ummah ie like Yemen, Syria, Libya.

see the issue is after Khilafat state started acting like moral police with state trying to control religious morality of people but rulers were .orally corrupt! and this hypocrisy presented a bad picture of Islamic system and people/muslim leaned more toward "secularism" but in todays world even the most securlar states are hypocrites so its hard to choose now!

The European Union has no religious basis at all. It is a community that shares a common geopolitical perspective and believes in common economic interests. The EU acquis is a comprehensive vision document from education to health, and its main purpose is to bring countries to these standards. It has legislative and executive branches. The parliament also works within its own borders by observing democratic rules.

What you call the caliphate is a completely different phenomenon and you cannot set it up in accordance with the EU ideal. Because the EU mechanism is existentially not suitable for such a leadership.

The caliphate is in the past. Islam is our common religion, no one has a problem with it. But Islam alone cannot bring us together as we create our own vision of a common, just and strong union.

I will also put along with Mao, Attaturk did a lot of great things for Turkey. Although some may disagree with his views on Islam, you have to point out that he laid the framework for Turkey to excel. Just compare Turkey to the rest of the Muslim world.

Atatürk was a realist politician, not a day-dreamer. How many independent Islamic countries were there in 1920 that the caliphate would be able to develop initiatives outside of the influence of the victors of the world war...
