Government tries to do everything to contain the virus and some people living in the epi center of outbreaks may suffer a bit in exchange of the safety for everyone else in the country.

Government does nothing and everyone is at great risk of infection, suffering and death, the government just sits on their hands to watch the people die like flies left, right and center.

But the reality, this is even not in Shanghai.

This is from an electronics factory dormitory supermarket in Kunshan City, Jiangsu.

The supermarket in the factory deliberately raised prices by 60 RMB for a box of instant noodles (a bucket of 5 RMB seems to be just 1-2 RMB more expensive than usual). Angering the factory workers there. I think this kind of supermarket would be punished

Yes, there are problems in Shanghai because this is the first time ever that Shanghai did a full city lockdown.

But beware the over exaggerated report from anti-China media.

I remember their report of "dystopia" condition few month back during lockdown of Xi'an, Shaanxi province.

All I can say is, the caravan has moved on.

I was referring to the person who started the thread. It only takes common sense to debunk their attempts, which unfortunately is not very common in western world.
I don't really expect people on " American green card waiting list" to understand difference between two Chinese dialect before making low effort propaganda.

The US couldn't take a few Russian missiles on Cuba and basically threatened WWIII so why would China allow an island that is permamently aligned with the West blockading its coast?

Good luck with China breaking down its own economy for you. It was only major economy that grew between 2020 and 2021. (People thought China was crazy to lockdown Wuhan.) The only reason China does the lockdowns is because the benefits still outweigh the costs.

I'm not in Shanghai and don't know what is going on there. What I know is. Most pro-west cities in China are: No.1 Hongkong; No.2 Shanghai. Both were colony cities in history. Now the worst performance Cities in the covid war in the whole China are: No.1 Hongkong; No.2 Shanghai.

Are the west ideology poisonous?
