What's new

What have you learned on PDF?

.
i learned that we Indians and Pakistanis love our countries and talk bs to defend our POV!

.
I learned that we are tolerant than Indians and at times Indians mocked us to a pretty low which gives an indication sometimes that I am on any indian forum. Indian defence forum is so anti and sanghee that they ridiculed us and religion at all levels. I found Indian more patriotic than any Pakistani.

.
I can't get enough of PDF I found My knowledge regarding defense systems was completely outdated as i usually read ww2 history and how much change we went from WW2 (Mechanical warfare) to Preseent (Electronics warfare).
It's a great website,I learned a huge deal about modern warfare, I'm currently studying GIS and plan to give DSSC in the future, So whenever I get the time ,This is my preparation for ISSB by the time I finish the knowledge I gain will always help me.
Back in College a friend of mine told me once when we were taking a class ,I said dude wtf is this shyt we don read this ......it useless.
He was like my friend if this knowledge wont hep u today it hep u tomorow ,I said Ok and ended up seeing the same material in the mock exams LOL.
Even today when I debate champs like @Signalian I lose badly LOL.

.
A lot of things like

-Learned to listen and respect others opinions.

-Discovered how much i love my country and what problems it is facing atm both externally and internally.

-Learned a lot about how one should do his research on almost every thing instead of blindly trusting what the others are saying.

-Learned how beautiful Pakistan is.

-Made a lot of good friends and made 4 best buddies . :P

-Interacting with a few members i realized how religious extremism can damage one's brain and how it prevents a that person of thinking logically.

-Learned how much destruction was brought upon our country in 80's and how it ruined a LOT of things.

-Because of PDF i started studying Quran on my own with translations, explanations, tafseers from different sources. Actually used this to my advantage once here to shut one member who was intentionally trying to portray Islam and Quranic ayats in a bad light (NauzbillAh).

-Learned how Liberalism/Secularism is NOT cancer as some people say these things without any logical explanation.

-Learned how to not give sh** to every barking dog. Means i am more tolerant than i was before joining PDF back than i was an emotional guy who used to react on every small thing.

I learned i am an ISI paid agent against democracy+ISI paid agent against Hindus in Kashmir + Indian paid agent against Islam + Atheist Bhensa supporting wajib ul qatal murtad + white wannabe +supporter of taliban
Bulla ki jana mein kon :D
@Musafir117 @Sher Shah Awan @Hell hound @Divergent

On a serious note

I learned how hatred can at times cloud your sense of judgement and can force you to look at the other in less than a human way

There are others who believe the real answer to terror problem is a serious look at the ideological alternate to the extremism problem which breeds terrorism no matter how much you fight and and how many militants you kill as long as a counter ideology and narrative is absent people will continue to support that cause and join it in numbers

That no matter what we say to Indians on the beef issue we act in a similar fashion on a certain other controversial issue(Hint:Mumtaz Qadri)

There is contradiction between desires of our population and their collective actions

You are an exceptional case @Zibago

Btw I am surprised to see not even one of you mentioned that fake and two face people are even found on Defence forums :p

. .
@Zibago @django @The Sandman @Hell hound SOOO???

NVM @django bro I tagged you before reading your previous post on this thread :p.

Civil Service
1 most of the time it is better to just keep silence (here and in real life) and enjoy the show.you will benefit the most that way
2 some people will never change.classify them as soon as you can and than never waste your breath on them.
3 you can actually learn alot if you are willing to listen.i have.
4 avoid the members with high amount of negative ratings they got them for a reason
5 voice your opinion even when you feel no one is listening as there are many silent readers here and your voice might help shape their opinion.
6 even when you don't agree with every thing other says you can actually make some great friends here.just be friendly and you will be surprised how many nice people you will find.
7 tharki threads are the best kyu @Nilgiri @django @The Sandman @Zibago
8 if in need(specially emotional support) just ask lot of people here are willing to go out of their way to help you.i have done it few times there is no shame in it.
9 not every thing said here is a fact so do your own research.
10 never base your opinion of other on their flags.
11 no need to be uptight all the time have a good time make some friends indulge in some stupid jokes/remarks. in short try your level best to have good time while you are here and make sure others are enjoying it too.little humor goes long way.

Sometimes it's better to keep silence when you know you're surrounded by fools and i will add extremists.

So true!
5 voice your opinion even when you feel no one is listening as there are many silent readers here and your voice might help shape their opinion.
Again better to stay silent in certain places.

i know my point 1 and 5 might sound contradicting but 1st one is more related to long pointless and stupid debates.while in the 5 th one what i meant was just to present your opinion in a single comment on the sensitive issue threads and then leave never to look back.so that young readers(and no i am not an uncle myself :p: ) could know that there exist another route than the mainstream one which too can be followed if they want:tup:

No brother, CSS is the name of the exam to join the Civil Service of Pakistan.

So what kind of bikes? Ducati or Harley?

Ask him to blank out his face and bike registration and post pictures of his long trip recently. I tried and failed.

He's a committed biker.

You touched a sore point, and this is in response to that.

People ask me why I post long and detailed posts replying to drive-by pieces of vindictiveness. Your #5 summed it up beautifully.

Your posts r understandable Joe . Long posts help u to get complete grasp .
It's actually better for the pakistani nd indian folks who reside in english speaking nations to use simple understandable english when sharing something important so that the common folks in Pak have the complete understanding .
