I have always tried to figure out what does the establishment in Pakistan want?

In Turkey, the ideology is Kemalism meaning no return of Islam in politics and an secular society. Most of the coups which have happened during the modern times of Turkey due to this reason. Whenever the ruling party starts to become Islamise, the military steps in to stop it and recourse back to Kemalism. This may have changed since the last coup failed and Erdogan has more of a grip on the military. Also keep in mind, most Turks are not practising Muslims and there is some opposition to Erdogan.

The good ol’ USA. The daddy of them all. For over 120 years they have done coup’s, regime change, assassinations of country leaders who have not agreed to USA terms, spreading disinformation to start wars (Iraq). I believe the President’s of USA have no say in foreign policy and merely act as an state spokesman whilst the real power is held by CIA and generals. JFK in my eyes was the last President who wanted to end wars and he was killed due to this.

China; a one-party, communism country. Here the government and military work hand in hand to spread Chinese Imperialism in the world.

But if you look at these countries, they all have one thing which is common. NATIONALISM. Turkey’s Erdogan in my eyes is not an international leader for the Ummah. Listen to his speeches and they all about Turkish Nationalism and benefit. Compared to Imran Khan; Khan as PM had advocated the plight of Kashmiri’s, Islamophobia, love for the Prophet (SAW PBUH) at every forum, at every opportunity.

What does the Establishment want? For nearly 76 years, they have been experimenting. It cannot be ideology that India is our number 1 enemy. India is far ahead of Pakistan in every possible department! Is it; sell the nation for dollars? Being used as an poxy in pointless wars?

Establishment is more concerned about money, defence housing. And in league with corrupted parties such as PMLN and PPP. The goal for all 3 are the same; loot the country and cover each others backsides. Sadly, the Pakistani awam have no courage to start an revolution.

They want hegemony.

I do not think they want the development of Pakistan.

Is making peace with them even worth it?
Imran Khan tried to make peace with them, whilst developing Pakistan. However, the estab realised that their monopoly of power will fall out of their hands if Pakistan becomes a truly developed nation.

For the last 75 years, they failed to decide what they want besides material gain.

After the creation of Pakistan, the British Raj left but passed the Buck to the new 'East India Company' to control, coerce, manage, subjugate, exploit the newly formed nascent state with nothing in kitty.

It's just the change of tactics to rule countries by not invading and occupying them, it cost huge sums, the traitors/proxies in this regions comes dime a dozen.

General Sir Frank Walter Messervy was the first Commander in Chief of the Pakistan Army who took charge on August 15 1947 and served till 10 February 1948. Historians claimed that country's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah ordered his removal after one year.

Pakistan Mil-Establishment is all controlled by the west, US, UK. Late Gen.Hameed Gul on record has said all the Army Chief are appointed by the tacit approval of US. So this must includes the current one.

Sadly, the Pakistani awam have no courage to start an revolution.
Those who did break away and formed their own country. The remaining lot was under this false illusion believing the military is some sort of savior and messiah when in fact it was the opposite, they have only now started to come to terms with it that what they believed in all these years was a lie, a facade built on deception and manipulation.
Even if the nation does not have the stomach or courage to start a revolution, at the very least they are no longer under any illusion. Rest I believe will follow up in due course.

The occupation started the moment Pakistan was created by the new Army Raj...tried the same in India but didn't succeeded.

Around 260,000 men, mainly Hindus and Sikhs, went to India. And 140,000 men, mainly Muslims, went to Pakistan. The Brigade of Gurkhas, recruited in Nepal, was split between India and Britain.

Many British officers stayed on to assist in the transition, including General Sir Robert Lockhart, India's first Chief of Army Staff, and General Sir Frank Messervy, who became Pakistan's first Chief of Army Staff.
