It has been my utmost desire to discuss with my Bangladeshi brothers regarding what they think about Pakistan. What happened in 1971? What was truth and what were exaggerations? As a Pakistani citizen, I feel saddened and heart broken from the incidents that lead to bloodshed of Bengali brethren which resultantly lead to creation of Bangladesh but at the same time respecting the identity and sovereignty of Bangladesh .I would like to hear from Bangladeshi friends the truth no matter how hard and how bitter it is.

Please inform and be open.

Now watch Indians troll this thread.

As for your question, everybody has a different opinion. But the words of AL and Hasina is not to be considered to general population's opinion.

Dont worry sir, i am only concerned about what Bangladeshis say. Its nice to know that not all Bangladeshis share the opinion of AL. I was curious because given the statements of Sheikh Hasina, it seems as the hate is too much to lessen.

However, i would like to know and discuss the painful things regarding Bangladesh's stance on 71 war atrocities. Do they think that Pakistan Army entirely did it or other elements too because i will share some information by sources other than Pakistanis in which it was alleged that agents were disguised as Pakistani soldiers and they committed atrocities on Bangladeshi population. Regards

Most Bangladeshis don't care about Pakistan because people to people contact is extremely limited between Bangladeshis and Pakistanis. Bangladeshis mostly connect with Indians because we are surrounded by Indians from all sides. So its hard to ignore them.

Most Bangladeshis extremely despise the state of Pakistan due to brutal genocide in 1971 by Pakistan to Bangladeshi people but this hatred is limited to the country Pakistan , its army, Taliban and other radical elements in Pakistan, not the common Pakistanis.

Some Bangladeshis have inferiority complex over skin color and height and wish they could be as 'fair' and 'tall' as Pakistanis. Bangladeshis in general are obsessed with fair skin and tall physique as we are not 'blessed' with fair skin and tall physique naturally. There are exceptions here and there but more than 95% Bangladeshis are dark looking like South Indians and majority of Bangladeshis are short to medium. As Pakistanis comparatively far superior in looks department than Bangladeshis most people here envy you guys for your outer look.

Bangladeshis are Muslims (90%) in majority but due to Hindu culture of Bengal for thousand of years the landmass got a culture which is a blend of Hinduism and Islam. So you will see a Bangladeshi woman putting a red bindi (Hindu symbol) on forehead which will look strange to a Pakistani.

Bangladeshis don't like Pakistan as a country but has no ill feeling for common Pakistanis.

If someone tell me they saw someone "cheering" a tragic event, it reminds me of the big lie Trump has been trumpeting.

A Pew research poll showed that 50% of Bangladeshis had a favorable view of Pakistan. Now as always, with these surveys there are going to be people that have no opinion, since that is the case this means that a (slim) majority of Bangladeshis view Pakistan favorably. In addition I would like to agree with Riyad that any hatred for Pakistan has more to do with the state and politics, there's not that much hatred for the average common Pakistani. Though, from my personal experience there is cooperation between everyday Bangladeshis and Pakistanis but, I would not call all of them friendly.

Anyone cheers the death of innocent kids is a mothereffer of the highest order irrespective of nationality and religion

I have not heard this or seen this behavior anywhere and I track many social media and websites of Bangladesh. It is unlikely many Bangladeshis would be even aware of the Peshawar school attack as it was not heavily covered in the country's news media.

@MBI Munshi This is probably the first time in my 5 years of being in this forum that I agree with you. Usually, we have diametrically opposite views. but @DESERT FIGHTER here has made a pretty blatant allegation against the whole of Bangladesh people.

The whole world - including Bangladesh - condemned the massacre.

Not true.

Bangladesh also commended Peshawar attack. Bangladeshis hate radical fundamentalists and most Bangladeshis consider Pakistan is the epicenter of all terrorism in the world. Root is in Pakistan. When Osama Bin Laden was found hiding in Pakistan many Bangladeshis were not shocked as if its normal for terrorists to hide in Pakistan.

Peshawar attack was covered by all Bangladeshi media and it saddened Bangladeshis and reminded the genocide of Pakistan army in Bangladesh during 1971 war. Everything related with Pakistan is taken with an 'ewww' kind of attitude. If there is a bomb blast in Pakistan Bangladeshis will say its normal incident there.

The only time Bangladeshis support Pakistan is cricket due to Muslim factor.

I really do not think the majority of Bangladeshis think a great deal on Pakistan and when they do they see it as a strong force against India. It is only the chetona idiots who keep on this issue of 1971 but most people are just not interested anymore. They know it is all BS and reading comments on a number of facebook sites many Bangladeshis are sick of the distorted history made by the AL and India propaganda.
