What are some things that you hated at first, but now love?

For me -

1. MS Dhoni
Reason - Indian media was calling him next big thing after Sachin. I always felt he is not worth Million $ endorsements. Later I realised I was just insecure Sachin fan, who was jealous of anyone approaching Sachin's fame be it Dhoni or Ponting. Now I can say he is best thing ever happened to India cricket, He is Kapil Dev of this generation. Cool, Calm, Reliable.

2. Ricky Ponting -
Reason - I hated Sachin vs Ponting Comparison in 2006, same insecurity mentioned above played big role here. Also at first I hated his cocky attitude. Now Sachin has reacclaimed his position, I m starting to miss Ponting of 2003-2007, He not only dominated bowlers, he humilated oppositions. eg. vs India in WC 2003 Final. About his attitude, I realised how badly I miss some1 with Pontings energy in Field for India, Win or loss fans want this type of attitude at the end of day from their players. Whatever he did, he wanted win badly for his nation. I salute this legend of game.

Will add more /// You guys also share your list.

Sreesanth - Hated him for his behaviour , but then started to love him for the vary same anctics that gave me some good laughs.

Matthew Hayden - Dont know why I hated him, but I hated him. But started liking him after he came to CSK and how remained loyal to the club saying if not CSK then no IPL.

Sreesanth is also in my list, I love his passion for game. Cricket is everything to him. Atleast fan is assured guy is trying his best to perform on field. Also loved he sledged all 3 daddies - Sachin, Lara, and Ponting. Genius LOL.

I hated the way India was / is denigrated time & again here on this forum.

I do not love it now but accept the mind sets that exist on both sides thanks to the occasional rational posts from posters on both sides and the active moderation exercised by the new team of admins & moderators.
