West Wreaking Havoc Worldwide, Yet Labels Russia ‘Bad’ Guy - French Analyst

The governments of Western countries try to portray Russia as a “bad guy” in an attempt to restore the old image of “the Soviet enemy” in the minds of people, said Eric Denece, a French political scientist and the director of the French intelligence think-tank CF2R.

Russian airstrikes against ISIL targets became a turning point in an attempt to restore order in Syria, the French expert wrote in Atlantico.

Libyan Crisis: Who Will Fall Victim to US 'Humanitarian' Intervention Next?

Russia's campaign in Syria is based on common sense, the French expert said.

Meanwhile, the governments of Western countries, led by the egotistical US government that can't mind its own business and sticks its nose everywhere in the world, have lost all common sense and their ability to analyze Middle Eastern politics in a realistic manner, Denece said.

The United States and its allies organized revolutions in Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Syria and Ukraine. None of them ended well. The revolutions brought chaos and destruction instead of the democracy they were promised.

"They [the revolutions] were not spontaneous and were part of a US-developed strategy," Denece wrote in Atlantico.

At the same time, the governments of the United States and Europe continue to criticize the Russia's actions in Syria, even though unlike the West, Moscow is conducting its operation according to international law.

800,000 Refugees Returning to Syria Thanks to Russia

After the start of the Russian military operation in Syria, the governments of Western countries began to harshly criticize the actions of Moscow, accusing Russian planes of bombing moderate Syrian rebels supported by the US government. However, the West couldn't provide any evidence. That's why their arguments are false, Denece explained.

Regardless of the outcome of the Syrian crisis, trust in the United States and the EU will be undermined for a long time and the West's political and economic influence will significantly decrease.

Many countries around the world consider the West a threat to global stability and they have a good reason to believe that since Western-led interventions bring nothing but chaos, death and destruction, the political analyst concluded.
