After a long and painful wait the PAF has successfully included the first 'Unmanned Warfare Squadron' under its wings. This squadron is now operational with Shahpar, Falco and Burraq Unmanned Aerial Systems. The Shahpar and Falco are used for Recon missions and Burraq for engaging targets with lethal response. All 3 systems are 'interoperable' and can be deployed in a 'team'. PAF has trained its operators, technicians, pilots, Air Int experts and support staff to carry out this task, who will operate under clearly defined rules of engagement.

Best regards.

Pakistan Air Power increasing despite economic conditions.

JF-17s, more F-16s from Jordan, and now first command of unmanned aerial assets...

Pakistan Air Force:

I hope the time spent on R&D of these unmanned craft will give best outcome with maximum efficiency. Cant they be used by our Navy for protection of our coast?

I have one question are these drones used to fire Missiles or not for example if if PAF want to fire a missile from a drone on a car can they do it ?

For those of you who don't know,Indian Air Force's first unmanned squadron was commisioned on 27 November 2000.at Bhatinda,No 34 "Cats Eyes".IAF alone has 5 squadrons. IA and IN apart.
Pakistan has greater need for them in the sense of COIN Ops against the TTP
