Durjoy class LPCs have 2x type 730B CIWS. Also BNS Bangabandhu has CIWS

I just copy pasted from wiki. But they will go for upgrade when both of these ships are available. One will remain in service another in upgrade

There are options for upgrade in SJ and SA with these along with gun based CIWS

Is CIWS too advanced of a technology? It dates from the 60's.

Why is it a big deal (or not) if BN has it? BN is a professional navy and not a new one. Bangladeshi Mariners served on almost all ranks in Pakistan Navy and on board most PN vessels (including subs) before 1971.

CIWS as a point defense is not that effective against supersonic missiles by the way. Currently BN and the Bangladesh Air Force are coordinating shore defenses. I think shore defense wise we have most of the same things you guys have.

But we are really afraid of the Myanmar Navy invasion. Let us know via a courtesy phone call before you start on it.

I don't know if the following Missiles tested are going to be part of the refit done to the 'Somudro Joy' (SJ) class. As usual leave it to the idiotic media to screw up armament and missile names.
