Meet Frankenstein & Hitler in Meghalaya

Frankenstein and Adolf Hitler will slug it out in the hills of Meghalaya on March 3.
Are you thinking Mary Shelley or the Holocaust? Give it a rest.
This Frankenstein is the Congress candidate for the Mendipathar Assembly constituency in the East Garo Hills district.
He is not remotely similar to Shelleys ferocious creation. The man is too genial to even criticise his rival, NCP candidate Malton Marak, who defeated him in 2003.
Frankenstein Momin, though, has represented Mendipathar thrice.
Not far away from Mendipathar, NCP heavyweight Adolf Lou Hitler Marak will be in the comeback race in the Rangsakona constituency.
He won the seat twice, before being upstaged by the Congress's Zenith M. Sangma in 2003. Zenith, however, is confident of beating the Fuhrer's namesake.
Meghalaya also has a Hollywood star, a former US President and an American millionaire in the poll race. In the ring are Tony Curtis Lyngdoh and Kennedy C Khyriem of the Congress and Rockefeller Rangdkhew of the BJP.
"Maybe, my name is apt as politicians are expected to act too," joked Tony Curtis, who shares his name with the 1950-1960s Hollywood hero.
He has never watched his namesake's movies, though. "I might buy some VCDs of the Hollywood star I was named after if I win," he said.
Tony Curtis's rival is Pretty Kharpyngrope of the Meghalaya Democratic Party, who looks her name, some say, and expects a "pretty good show" at the hustings.
So do Return Sna, fellow MDP candidate from the Nartiang constituency, and the Congress's Coming One Ymbon from Raliang.
The funny names list is not done, though. There are also Junior Lamin, Oral Syngkli, Boldness L Nongum and an array of stones Elstone D Marak, Prestone Tynsong and Hopingstone Masharing waiting for the March 3 elections.
