This is govt number, in real its beyond 41.5%

Example: Petrol from 150 to 272, chicken 380 to 650, apploe 150 to 400, banana 60 to 240 and so on in all items

What does this mean? Is it weekly inflation annualized? i.e. A week's inflation of slightly below 1%, which is no big deal on a short term, or annual inflation is 2,000% that essentially portends a tragedy?

Thank you. So, it is actually yearly inflation measured this week (referenced to the same week a year back). They should state that clearly to prevent alarm over hyperinflation like in Venezuela or Zimbabwe that indicates complete economic collapse.
