Weather as a "Force Multiplier": Owning the Weather in 2025 (Read the document: here) describes "the possibility" of using weather modifications to gain strategic advantage over US enemies. This document was presented in 1990s and therefore I believe US is spear heading in this domain and if US policy in future ever changed to coincide with the use of such technologies there will be no adversary who will be able to challenge the US or its allies in future confrontations.

My question is to folks here on PDF who go against the narrative that US will remain the sole "Military Super Power" in the distant future, please tell me how you come to this conclusion...

I believe that weather can be manipulated locally.
I believe the US is working on technologies to implement the mechanisms.
I believe that others are also working on it.

Given the current technology gaps, the US will surely get there first and dominate for a while, but there is nothing says others can't catch up in time.

So, the US will surely dominate in the foreseeable future, but how "distantly" that lead will last is up for debate.

Locally, as opposed to globally or regionally.

Hard to affect weather conditions around the globe or region, but local effects can be generated.

The trivial case of seeding rainfall is decades old, but development of more advanced techniques is only a matter of time.

There are weather patents already,working technologies for local(for now ) weather manupulation.Also Wall Street criminals already talking about weather derivatives.Weather manupulation done by the likes of goverments,military and greedy corporations is not really a good idea-ordinary people will be at receiving end of such activity.

Hail, lightning and gales came through the state’s eastern region this summer thanks to scientist-puppetmasters.

As part of a secret program to control the weather in the Middle East, scientists working for the United Arab Emirates government artificially created rain where rain is generally nowhere to be found. The $11 million project, which began in July, put steel lampshade-looking ionizers in the desert to produce charged particles. The negatively charged ions rose with the hot air, attracting dust. Moisture then condensed around the dust and eventually produced a rain cloud. A bunch of rain clouds.

On the 52 days it rained in the region throughout July and August, forecasters did not predict rain once.

While fascinating, this is not the first time scientists have attempted to mess with Mother Nature. China has been tinkering with cloud seeding for years, not always successfully.

But the idea that countries in the Middle East could actually create rain in this water-poor region could go a long way to solving the area’s problems with drought and is considered to be cheaper than desalination. But how controllable the weather can be is still in doubt, and the consequences of meddling with nature at this level are yet to be seen.

I think its high time Pakistani Scientists start focusing on geo-engineering for the benefit of humanity as you can clearly alleviate the menace of drought from the Country...everything should not be left alone for the divine intervention...as God help those who helps themselves.
