We will make a case for 10000km missile with Gov

But you'll have to start with the land based system first so that you can figure out the required tech. In general sub launched versions 'follow'
True, but the land based systems already there are ENOUGH to be followed into an SLBM aren't they :)

That depends on warhead payload and range. If you want to deploy an mirv to 8000kms we do not have it yet. The range can be increased by bringing down the payload in the current Agni.

Though the official range of the Agni V missile is 5,000km, China has claimed that the Indian missile has a range of 8,000km.

India can do this with ease. Although it is overkill, considering both its rivals have a shared border. But then I believe India's ambitions go beyond this region and India wants to ensure its survival at any cost, which includes the ability to hit any nation that may threaten it. I actually commend them for that.

Permanent Members of UNSC all are having ICBM's and Republic of India is even having ICBM's.

Oh I agree with you and I take my hat off to India for that. I'd like to think we live in a civilised world, but one reality we can never ignore is that people respect power.....

which we have already done right? It is rumoured that the K4 has a range of 3500 KM. The problem with SLBMs are that they need to be lighter to be made buoyant. SO they'll have to build a land based one first (probably new propellants, additional work on guidance and control) then test it out, then make improvements to add the buoyancy factor. They'll have to figure a lot of things and I think the land based system will be essential. In any case I don't think this is intended for Pak, this is more for China and to cover the entire mainland.

Case of Misplaced Priorities.
> Replace all Prithvi I and II with Solid Fueled Prahaar
>K4 SLBM MIRV warhead, RV5 and 6 with Solid fuel thrust correction cartridges.
>20mm Medak automated fire control gun stations for forward posts.
>Guided Rockets and Anti tank munitions for Pinaka Mrbl
>20mm grenade munitions hand held launchers and ubgl
>Brahmos mini and Nirbhay ALCM, and a 6x6 launchers.
>Indigenous Super sonic antishipping missile
>40 Gigajoules Thermobaric Conventional munitions.

What is the purpose of a 10k range missile??? I guess rather they should spend their money and manpower in developing MIRV
India planning war with USA or Russia ?

Pakistan and China have borders with India.

Necessary for force projection, should have happened much earlier, though 6K SLBM is a more pressing concern.

The logic of there not being a need for such range missiles due to the immediate threats from east and west fails to take into account longer, more global ambitions of the Indian state.

Well for sure it is not intended for Pakistan so as a Pakistani i do not care. However by your argument, are you implying saying that a 10000Km land based ballistic missile is a prerequisite for a SLBM? considering that the country already have 5, 6 thousand km range missiles?

That depends on warhead payload and range. If you want to deploy an mirv to 8000kms we do not have it yet. The range can be increased by bringing down the payload in the current Agni.
sorry what do you mean to say?
i was pointing that India's development of longer range SLBM and investing in that technology makes sense rather than 10000 Km land based systems that will practically of of no to very little use. there was an argument that for SLBM they required to develop a land based system first and to that i pointed that you already have the land based system, sorry couldn't get the point you are trying to make.

India is having its needs and requirements and having ICBM's is like pride for our nation.
