Took this train to Mumbai a couple of months ago. its absolutely gorgeous, comfortable and fast!

I hope India railway will be changed within the decade

Really, tired of travelling in old style coaches and speed.

200 to 250 speed will be fine to travel the distance 1500km over a night. It will be a cheaper solution then air flights.

I need to go by flight from bangaru to Raipur because traditional train takes approx 24 hours for 1200km....

If going with my wife and kid than it cost me more than 13k for one side by flight

Yes for travelling the distance between 1000-2000, with 200 km...... I wish for atleast train with over 200 km speed.

I m not expecting bullet trains but at least over a night journey by train.... Not present situation, 24-30 hours.

The train is mostly an upgrade in the form of aesthetics, comfort and luxury in my opinion.

The speed is barely faster than a WAP 7 locomotive that can travel at 140kmph vs 180 for VB. Internationally, the train cannot be called a high speed train as that is only for trains that can go above 250kmph (Cat 1). For comparison french TGV was doing 300+ in 1972.

Only way for high speed trains in India is elevated rails. High speed trains on regular tracks is just not practical in India because the people are so indisciplined and also the animals on the track can damage the train or cause a derailment.
