Watch: Queen Elizabeth II shocked by ‘very rude’ Chinese officials ahead of state visit

LOL take it easy bro, those members here who try to justify such irrational and childish behavior are either naive, ignorant or they are merely trying to "boast their ego", since I understand how someone who can justify such behavior by saying it shows they are tough, big and don't give a shit about British officials or the west unlike other "developing countries".
Anybody saying such a thing is suffering from acute ignorance or maybe even inferiority complex? Lol since I don't see the point n being rude to your host just because you want to show you are now 'superior or big' the or whatever. Ioln

lol...........

The different is, you may not look like those member you mentioned here, I do......

People come up to me and point me to the nearest rubbish bin in the train station just because some other Chinese always litter their rubbish wherever they goes. I got pre-objectified by other people for being rude and cutting the line on whatever I am queuing into. When I goes to the supermarket, I was always reminded by the "Friendly" Store employee that I am only allowed to purchase 2 baby formula even tho I don't even have a child to begin with and have no intention to buy any milk powder. This is all just because some Chinese tart breaking the rules and I would be warned against even if I were in no way connect to it.

And now these idiots started to justify this by "Boasting their ego" They may not need to took the full wrath of the Chinese image overseas, being obnoxious here does not help.

. .
There are basically two type of member here, the feeble and misinformed. There are no where one would be in between.

You will understand more had you stayed longer, that is if you stayed longer.

Still, this is not an excuse to this type of behaviour........

I would have understand if that was simply a tourist behave badly in a different culture, almost all of us did that in a foreign land one way or another, the problem is that, it is a diplomat job to know and understand the culture of a foreign country, as you represent your own country.

Before I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan, I and my fellow soldier were given a 2 hours lecture on dos and don't on the foreign land. As we don't just fight a war over there, we are representing the United States of America. I even go so far to had with me a Koran and learn basic Arabic. That os what I will do to not to disrespect a foreign culture, and I am not even a diplomat.

However, the most amazing things on this subject here is how member try to justify this type of behaviour. Which in anyway, sort or form, seems like a stupid idea....

why do you have a chinese flag?? are you chinese? just wondering?

yes.. most of the people here are like talking to a bunch of teens..

Just throw some money at him, he will keep silent.

sorry but the yuan is too weak... trump also takes american dollars. lol

.
I'm really sorry..
In that case, diplomat need to apologize for being rude.
It's more disgraceful that people in this forum are way too rude.

You say sorry? For what? Yes, the diplomat was need to explained what happen, but as diplomat they also represent Chinese government, represent of Chinese interest. Honestly, I really don't know why they just walk-off like that, but that politics, controversial or odd things always happen, they just simply doing their job their ordered. Perhaps just misunderstanding, that's all.

Well, you have to bare in mind that the Chinese government is also kind of different from its people. The way some Chinese act abroad has been condemned by their own leaders and their government have been so embarrassed by the way some of their citizens /tourists act abroad so much so that they have even issued a code of conduct for their tourists to respect and behave when they travel abroad. This shows the government is aware of the problem and is trying it's best it can to address that, though it's true there is only so much a government can do, the people are the ones to decide how to behave at the end of the day. We should not forget that China is still a developing country who was closed from the outside world for decades and was as poor if not more poor than north Korea less than 4 decades ago , not a developed by open one like the west, and so we ought to give them time to learn and adapt. :)

Moreover, the the fact that the Chinese government totally censored this news in China shows that they don't want any controversy about this back home and they must be aware it was a faux pas on their part so better move on and forget about it while Iearning from such mistakes so as not to repeat them in future. :)

Just put the UK on its rightful place and that was happily reported across China. :enjoy:

My Line story got 5000 hits here in Taiwan only! But Line has not become popular in Mainland :(

By the way, let me show you your well-deserved place and status in the world:

"2. United Kingdom: British citizens are infamous for their bawdy bar behaviour all around the world.... Their terrible tourist manners are well-documented, so it's no huge surprise that this survey respondents ranked them the second-worst."

Too much for industrial revolution and hundred years of development. Why have you failed to be cultured for such a long time?

There is no point in defending it.

>>also represent Chinese government, represent of Chinese interest.
Your idea is unreasonable.
More than these, they also represent Chinese, their casual behavior will damage the image of the Chinese people.
This is such a shame.

When you do something wrong, what you need to do is to apologize, ask for forgiveness, not defend or make excuses.

Think of it as a political statement. Nothing in diplomacy (for great powers such as China, US or Russia) is accidental or haphazard.

So, better question the content of the symbolic message, not the act itself.

Diplomacy is not an area where morality prevails. We can know it when accidentally some politicians' (including Obama himself) microphones are left open without them being aware of it.

That's diplomacy. Not some British afternoon tea party.

She is too young to understand negotiation. She will learn in time.

Can someone explain to me what have this chinese official done?
Exactly. The fucking writer is a dumb fk.

From what the others tell me, the diplomat walked out of a meeting because nothing was achieved as the discussions were going iin circles.
