WATCH: British Royal Marines gear up to test the jet suit developed by Gravity Industries

.
This suit is a waste of time as there is no abiity to use it to effect military force in its current form given its bulk and the need to use the arms for thrust control.

If they can get fixed nozzles that can be controlled via a joystick, then you may have something to work with.

Its a military thing, and must have a good use.

Not quite true, they could use it to safely get from naval ships to shore, fly over land mines, ascend cliffs where enemy defences may be little , get to roof tops, transfer personnel from ship to ship etc The applications are huge though at present flight time is short.
