Just to demonstrate how ridiculous your claims are: some of Aurangazeb's great generals and many Mughal elites were hindus. Why didn't he convert them first? :p

Most powerful emperors have been extremely cruel to rebels and their leaders (generally died in multiple pieces) throughout world history. The claim (by Marathas) that Aurangazeb would forgive a fukcing captured rebel leader for converting actually shows him in a positive light!

You assume too much for your own good,i dont need my government to teach me history of my own province.

I am from Eastern UP where Varanasi is,My forefathers are from here.We know who destroyed our beloved temple,this temple destroying culture is from Palestine/Istanbul where Christians/Muslims keep destroying each other's worship places for silly political reasons.

They think if we destroy the temple,people will convert and look what happened,the complete opposite.e

Judaism is back in Israel and Hinduism in India,despite al aqsa on the temple mount and the gyan vapi masjid on the kashi vishwanath,nothing has happened.It is those guys who destroyed the temples who are in bad shape today.

Anyway you muslims deserve your plight with all the bloodshed and the ISIS. he

I'm not a Muslim (an apostate! :p) by the way, but I don't like the way you guys have embraced the divide and rule narrative imposed by the British and how your government continues to recreate and modify local history, based on this narrative, each passing generation.

Judaism... Please stick to distorted local history, world history is not your thing.

After centuries of exile from their homeland, the Jewish people were invited back to their homeland by a newly emerged power that defeated the Byzantine Roman Empire in the Levant. Basically, Caliph Omar (the 2nd Caliph) was the first world leader to establish the Jewish right to return home!

The current Muslim-Jewish conflict is only because of the way Palestine was taken by European Jewish people and I'm hoping this enmity would eventually die down because Muslims and Jews are very close culturally!

Al-Aqsa was built on the ruins of Temple Mount, because Muslims considered Jewish holy sites sacred as well. And why were the Temple Mount in ruins? The Romans destroyed the temple several times over centuries, and built their own temple over it, which was also destroyed by..

OK,I was wrong about the temple mount.

The british divide rule worked well on the muslims,thats how they got their own countries,so it is the other way around.

nonetheless,aurangabad will also be renamed and also such old mughal names.
