Volvo Introduced Buses in Pak through VPL

VPL Limited, the authorized distributor of Volvo Buses in Pakistan has introduced Volvo B11R to set a new dimension to intercity bus travel. Volvo B11R comes with highly fuel efficient engine that cuts operating cost and Volvo′s quality standards combine functionality with passenger comfort and lifecycle productivity. Daewoo Express, the country′s leading bus operator has already placed an order for ten Volvo B11R′s, with the first bus expected to arrive in the middle of March.

DAEWOO PAKISTAN EXPRESS has already ordered 10 volvo B11R buses.

Its high time Pakistan sets up major bus production facilities itself from companies like volvo, scania etc...or is such being covered in any specific MOU within the overall CPEC framework for chinese companies?

Are these Volvo buses made in India? Volvo has a big facility in India and Daewoo is also owned by Tata.

India does not make this chassis and model as far as I am aware.

I think they are made only in Sweden and Brazil.

Daewoo here also seems to be the bus operator rather than anything else.

Also Tata only owns the commercial vehicle (trucks) section of Daewoo

i'd love to see emergency exit door instead of emergency exit windows on these buses. well this is asia and things are different here.
