The Vietnamese government has approved the purchase of 20 million doses of China’s Vero Cell Covid-19 vaccine as it seeks to speed up inoculation and reboot the economy.
I'm glad Vietnam chose the Chinese vaccine in the end.

We should give priority to supplying vaccines to border countries and establish COVID19 buffer zone as soon as possible.

To be honest Sinopharm is not that good. Chinese are not known to be innovative. Didn't think mRNA is worth it. Now it takes Chinese years to catch up and make mRNA.

China has mRNA vaccine, which has entered phase III experiment and has low requirements for refrigeration.

At first, the progress of mRNA vaccine research in China was faster than that of Western pharmaceutical companies. But China's research was suddenly interrupted, because there are no patients in China.

@Viet

Are you rolling on floor, cursing and crying now? :rofl:
Nonsense
Yes I question efficacy however I never say no to chinese vaccines.
I favor Vietnam made vaccines or western variants. But the first is delayed and the latter is late in delivery. So seems we have no choice.

Why should I bitter if the economy can be reopened? VN/CN trades are close $200b, some millions dollars add on don’t make the cow fatter. Maybe disappointing because VN made vaccines are delayed. And of course we would be better off today if the government was quicker in sourcing vaccines.

True, but is is correct to say China has no innovation. Inactivated (Sinopharm, Sinovac) is copied from the west. Viral vector (CanSino) is copied from the west. mRNA is copied from the west. Protein subunit (Clover) is copied from the west. There is nothing wrong to say China has no innovation.

MRNA in China can be stored for a week at room temperature, which is different from that in the United States.
