The oil field is outside 200nm of Vietnam coast, and the only way to legally drill on them is if the islands in the Spratly group can generate EEZ on their own, which according to the arbitration, none does. So yes, Vietnam will be foolish to invoke the arbitration.

This is a military oriented forum and I am a USAF veteran, including Desert Storm. Since none of you Chinese on this forum ever done time in service, it means at least I got more balls than all you on this forum. When I used to work for Micron Tech and went to China to help set up our Shanghai facility there, the moment I entered Chinese airspace, I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as in the courage level gained one magnitude. Chinese men doubled their testosterone level for the time I was in country. That contributed to the rise in China that you see today. You guys should be grateful.
