VHP protests, Pak singer Atif Aslam's Ahmedabad concert put off

AHMEDABAD: Pakistani singer Atif Aslam's concert in the city, scheduled tomorrow, has been postponed.

Two days ago Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) had protested against the concert.

Deputy Commissioner of Police M L Ninama said the organizers submitted an application to Naranpura police station informing about the postponement. The new date was not informed.

VHP has demanded cancellation of the event, pointing out that a Pakistani court recently imposed restrictions on screening of Indian films in that country.

there is no helplessness specifically wrt VHP... this is the running trend in India.. you dont like something, just scare the govt with threat of violence and govt will do the rest.
And its actually started with muslim fundamentalists which vhp people quickly copied because it works.

The victims till date are satanic verses(muslim fundamentalists who did not even have to protest), hussain's painting(hindu fundamentalists), taslima nasreen(she was forced to leave india due to isamic fundamentaists) and scores of movies (due to all sorts of reason religious, political, tribal etc).
VHP is using tried and tested formula, thats all.

Rest of us are sick and tired of competetive appeasement to hindus, muslims, sikhs or christians.
