Uyghur girl modern dance

They're conforming them to Western culture. The chinnay have fully embrassed Western culture in the place of their own. Look at how they dress (Western clothes), their music (copy of Classical and Pop music), they dye their hair and get colour contacts.

LOL.. Another know nothing Indian. Dressing in modern does not immediately conform to western culture.

This is western costume.

Chinese dress modernly but do not share the value of western/ culture. If so, why US imperialism and Western Europe do not like rise of China and is so negative about us?

True! It's globalization creeping in. All traditional folk cultures are being wiped out to make way for this "modern" crap.

Nice cope, that's the costume of a particular European group.. Suits, T-shirts, and jeans are British-American innovation.

That's why I appreciate the Subcontinent and the Middle East. We will be the last people to have our culture die at the hands of Westernization (aka Globalization). Sarees, salvaars, burqas, achkans, etc. continue to be worn daily while others have given up their attire to conform to Western standards

And it's even more interesting, When you know that Modern "Extremism" didn't took root in ME or any Arabic Ideology but Indeed Central Asia...
@Desert Fox I don't know whether to laugh or to cry at the above ...What a baseless post.
Please tell me if AQ, the mother of Islamic extremism was an Arab dominated organization or not? Even the US considers/ed the Taliban as enemy combatants but AQ as terrorists. And do remind me if it were central asians or afghans who were active from Algeria to Sudan to Lebonan to Palestine to Yemen to Afghanistan? And I haven't started about the post "Arab-spring" world yet...

chinese don't wear western clothes , they wear modern clothes . Jeans and t-shirt are so comfortable than say 10 m long kurtas or whatever . It's natural selection at work :p:

Indeed. The extremism has been a problem for all Muslims. The khawarij have existed in the time of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), which was before Islam ever reached Central Asia/South Asia.

Maybe @HannibalBarca is referring to the Soviet-Afghan war? If so then even there the extremism was imported from Saudi into the AfPak region and not the other way around.

True. I hope we retain our culture and traditions.

Too much diversity always causes troubles as everyone can see around the world, Chinese people, regardless of their ethnic backgroud, should always be the Chinese first.
and hence the dilemma how to define Chinese....are hans Chinese only?

Even if that's the case, it was their country which was invaded by one superpower, while the other poured funds and weapons. Arabs came from outside, formed AQ (Many of those were followers of Juhayman. [see kaaba siege] ). It's a false claim that they have nothing to do with extremism and it's a Afghan/central Asian thing. Central Asian countries are secular BTW
