OBAMA SAYS USA WILL SUPPORT INDIA'S FULL MEMBERSHIP IN NUCLEAR SUPPLIER'S GROUP
While most of the people around the world see Obama's visit to India merely a step to strengthen economic relations between India and U.S.A, it has proceeded to nuclear deals.
In his visit to India Barack Obama announced that U.S.A will support India to get a full membership in the 45-member Nuclear Suppliers Group and three other multilateral export control regimes..
This membership will allow India to use dual-use technology from member countries, hence enhancing India's nuclear capability. India by becoming its member will be able to import advanced nuclear technology from dual use export control clubs. These include the Australian Group which deals with biological and chemical weapons, whereas the Wassenaar Group deals with conventional weapons.

POINTS TO CONSIDER:
CONDITIONS FOR NSG MEMBERSHIP:
1- To join NSG a country needs to be a party of NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty)
2- Be an existing or emerging nuclear supplier
3- Have an effective export control system
-The issue here is that India does not qualify any of the conditions for NSG stated above but still USA is supporting India.
-Many experts have given negative views over this because they think that it will start a nuclear race in the Sub Continent.
-While Pakistan is fighting war against terrorism, why is USA supplying weapons to India rather than Pakistan.
