you do know how serious the economy crisis is and solving it wont be easy also the cold war is over( socialism vs capitalism )so it is not a big deal
do you remember the great depression it was the governement who pulled the country out the private sector couldnt do anything and to leave the economy in the hand of the private sector alone you are just drowning yourself governement actions is needed i am not a socialist but i think the governement must have a role in the economy to guide it to safety sometimes

well i study economy and i think that a big part of the effect will be becouse the huge dollar reserves in the world and selling the dollar reserves will make the dollar price very low and make the crisis bigger for all but if the top ecenomic powers sit with eachother and come up with a plan to a new econmy system and be less depended on stock markets and currancy value and depend on real industry and invesment and agricalture it may work but this way or the other i think amercan economy is doomed

Junk we have had debt long before the Great Depression, and yes basic rights have been taken away from Americans before but not enough to push them to a revolution. Japanese Americans put in concentration camps, women couldn't vote til 1920, blacks were slaves, etc.

For one thing, the people in the occupy movement protests are far more likely to pick up a joint and bash the government stoned then they would be picking up an AK or M16.

ie: they are softie leftists...the only thing hardline about them is that they stubbornly refuse to go off welfare.

And the US is a socialist country in many ways: there are loads of government programmes that help the ones that dont get by easily.
