USA DECLARES WAR ON CHINA

Misleading and stupid title. This sort of shit happens all the time, it just so happens that this time someone in a senior position happened to get caught.

There is no wat going on between the US and China, except a trade war, which will likely end, once the next president comes to power in the US, or if the two manage to negotiate a new trade treaty.

. . . .
That's like a big guy giving 10 slaps and little kid throwing a hissy fit in return and running away.
didnt gt it ?

If they ban Huawei from America then China ban Apple from China. Two can play this game.

Apple will simply move to Vietnam, Indonesia and India.

They may take a temporary hit but nothing significant enough to dent their production in the long run.

Knowing Trump's attitude, he won't back it out.

But Huawei will loose not one but two target markets in one go.

Ok noted...ccp should do something apart frm warning

China may dump $20-50 billion in dollar bonds as a second warning shot to US after the last one of $3 billion.

It wasn't thought of as possible but now it is actually happening.

So far china is humiliated on regular basis and no response yet from china.

Whenever the Chinese go quiet, they usually have something seriously planned and coming up. I don't think they would back out without a serious fight in this case.

  • They will easily push their leverage in African economies to destabilise American exports. With so many countries dependent on them, they can actually do that. Africa might seem as a 'small market' for now, but their impact will only increase once the Chinese completely take control of their import markets.
  • China can start sanctioning US companies from operating in China, including the big ones like Coca Cola which would result in significant corporate losses to USA (also to China in the number of jobs lost). But since China is authoritarian, rapid measures can be taken to relocate the freshly unemployed youth while US won't be able to do the same.
  • US might go for their trade agreements with European Union, exerting significant pressure on Germany, France, Belgium and UK to cut Chinese imports and use either local or non-Chinese asian alternatives along with American-produced goods. While France could say a big NO to that, Germany and UK will eventually cave into the demands due to US political influence there. That, could again harm Chinese interests, especially with the Japanese angle in favour of US.

We can arrest Canadian and American executives in China.

We can allow Chinese companies to directly copy patented designs.

We can nationalize all property of Canadian and American citizens in China.

Like Huawei and Apple are comparable?
Just one point is enough to show which one is superior.

Huawei use android OS. And you know who developed them? Without android it is useless.

And Apple has their own OS. iOS that they developed.

Apple will simply move to Vietnam, Indonesia and India.

This logic is basically BS. Google can make Huawei or any other smartphone manufacturer other than Apple, go bankrupt by simply charging them astronomical fee for using Android OS.

We don't know that before!

The point I am making is Economic War is as bad as actual war fought with hand

The example is if you lived in Town , and the Sharif made a law that no one will sell any fruit and beef to Tim , well then Tim will say it is not fair he is being singled out and it is not fair he is denied chance to buy goods from his fellow human being

So what USA has done is created a Humanitarian crisis , by declaring war on China and it's business man/women

It is a Soft Declaration of War

That is exactly what I am saying.

Huawei's and any other Chinese company's issue would be to target software autonomy which it lacks. Even Samsung which invented the BADA system is unable to capitalise on it except within South Korea. Creating an ecosystem requires a certain USP. Korea's is that no one else uses Korean language (which is easy to adopt nowadays given the ease of programming) and also the fact that it is made by a home-grown brand which South Koreans trust.

China will need to first operationalise an OS withing China and make it a success - which they actually can given their vast market.

But convincing outsiders to switch from iOS and Android would be a real challenge. Even a giant like Microsoft failed.

I agree you can. Yes and that is your prerogative.

But how many of them are present in China in that volume?

Can you tell me how much property can these executives own in China given the fact that land ownership is not allowed in China, but a mere long-term lease arrangement (freehold model, at least that's what I heard about Shanghai)?

Copying patents would be your best bet to peeve USA a lot. But the following actions will further threaten your manufacturing ecosystem, especially given the recent protectionism on rise there.

So what USA has done is created a Humanitarian crisis , by declaring war on China and it's business man/women

It would be crucial to see how Chinese respond.

It would also mean trade war lessons for those countries who are keen to take on US's challenge in the future.

Maybe China may start with banning US consumer companies in the local markets like Pepsico and Coca Cola. Those are huge pillars of foreign presence in most countries.

As long as this below continues, no need to destroy what is working. The world system is still favorable. China will simply manage the situation without disturbing things much through regular diplomatic channels:

"China’s overall (global) trade surplus rose to $44.75 billion last month (November), the largest since December 2017 and up 16.4% year on year."

The country’s exports to the U.S. exceeded its imports from America by $35.6 billion in November, the highest trade gap ever, customs data showed.

Shipments to the U.S. soared nearly 10% year on year to $46.2 billion last month, while imports from the nation declined almost 25% to $10.7 billion."

China invited it by their protectionist practices. How much does Pakistan export to China ? Compare it to Pakistani imports of China.

The arrest of Huawei executive is a mistake unless Canada can prove she committed serious crimes
