US very concerned about successful Iranian rocket launch

. .
I am confused why Pakistan has not done this

Seriously, Pakistan's space program needs a major kickstart.

I saw several people talking earlier about how Iran's civilian space program was infested with spies sabotaging it while their IRGC launch was flawless.

I wonder if Pakistan has the same problem with Indian spies sabotaging Pakistan's civilian space program. A Pakistani military space program made from scratch could have much better results if this IRGC launch is anything to learn from.

I don't think its so much the spies issue. More financial and political will

Pakistan and Iranian space agency have the same problem. Lack of funding and political will.

The IRGC are not bound to the political squabbles of the world stage and have the funds to make dreams into reality. Pakistani government needs to demand and offer more to propel the space agency of Pakistan forward (which they are fully capable of)

For many years I have said it on this forum and anywhere else which i can or am allowed to speak that Pakistan needed its SLV project for a) this can be later used for commercial activities as most developed and developing Nations like India are doing and b) most importantly can give us the necessary frame work to develop our own ICBM program which can very well be disguised as an SLV project.
People tend to forget how we were threaten to be bombed back to stone age almost two decades ago. With changing geo strategic situations and interests, the chances of it happening again some time in the future is not that far fetched. So why not be prepared rather than being caught with pants down.

Another nail in the coffin for the failure of maximum pressure

Happy to see Iran keeping up maximum resistance against Pompeo and his cronies. Hope Iran will have even more success in the future so Pompeo has to eat his words again.

Aspen, I just wanted to sincerely thank you for being so appreciative of recent Iranian advancements, your cordiality puts many on here to shame (puts me to shame personally), many thanks to the other PDF members who also come to the Iranian section in friendship and not to throw around crap :-):pakistan:

Pakistan is advancing at an admirable pace as well focusing on national defense projects that are crucial for Pakistans security, undoubtedly if Pakistan wants to put a satellite in space it could happen quite quickly and proficiently!!

Asymmetric capabilities will become very important for both Iran and Pakistan in the future. Cyber warfare, space satellites, and EMP weapons are going to be relevant in the future. Iran is already strong in all of these areas. Pakistan has a nuclear program and a robust Air Force, Iran has much better missiles and an excellent space program. Ultimately I hope to see both countries learn from each other and even work together. Iran's enemy Israel is working with Pakistan's enemy India, so I hope to see a convergence of interests and military cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the future. I am confident I will live to see that day.

I highly doubt that Iran and Pakistan will form an alliance based on common interests in near future. Pakistan sees herself as an ally to Saudi Arabia for religious and historical reasons. Saudis financially helped Pakistan acquire nuclear weapons or so I have read on PDF many times. Arabs have employed tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of Pakistanis in their countries which gives them a certain leverage over Pakistan. Iran cannot trust Pakistan under these circumstances. Not to mention that Pakistan has helped Saudi Arabia destabilize Iranian Baluchistan in the past. Our relations have had too many ups and downs in the past to be honest.

Pakistan has failed to materialize the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline even though that Iran has finished the construction of her side of the pipeline since a decade ago. Our volume of trade hasn't increased that much in recent decades because of Pakistan following US sanctions and her alliance with the Saudis. Also, Pakistan's economy is too fragile to make independent decisions when it comes to her foreign affairs with her neighbors. So, in short, Pakistan's alliance with the US, Saudi Arabia and the UAE makes an alliance highly unlikely in near future.

It has been several years now that I've been advocating for some sort of Iranian-Pakistani joint force or cooperation on military technology. Seeing Pakistan produce its own line of FATEH like Quasi-BMs whilst working in tandem with Iran to create bigger, longer range missiles would be an awesome thing to behold no doubt!

Hopefully these unjust sanctions can be mitigated and Iran can find it much easier to cooperate with other nations in technology both civilian and military.
