US to fully block Russian debt payments, bringing Russia to the brink of default

Have you ever visited Russia? 😁

Europe would never side with an autocratic regime. Just today Germany voted to bring back Taiwan into WHO.
I been to Athens, and Saigon. Saigon is much more developed than Athens now.

Lol. Thank you for being so funny.

Of course its not.
LoL, you've not been to Saigon....let Viets tell you about their Ho chi minh city. Da Nang leave Athens to the dust.

No it cant. The moment Russia defaults, its dead. The chinese wont touch it with a stick.

So far China helped Russia nothing because out if fear to get sanctioned as well.

Are you kidding me? Once you leave moscow you enter an dystopia of poverty.

Both my parents were in Moscow in 1980s but i have never been there.

Could you post some videos abour poverty in Russia?

A technical default doesn't stop anybody doing business with Russia. Letter of Credit(LOC) will still be honored among trading partners, vis a vis EU gas purchases in Rubles....so very little impact on day to day activities. Russia imports will depend on financial gurantees...as long as trading partner(non sanctioning) accepts LOC, very little impact to Russia. Ruble has actually gone up pre war. So sanctions impacts will be softened. EU losing such a large trading partner with 140 million + consumers will lose as much as the Russians. Ironically, only long term winners will be China + US. EU transition away from Russian energy will prop up US energy firm profits, and China will captured majority of market share from EU industrial firms shifting out of Russia. China will also gain from cheap energy imports from Russia as well as enhanced land access to Russian energy. China biggest weakness economically is dependence on Middle east oil specifically oil shipment through hormuz and malacca. Now with Kazakhstan oil pipeline and Russian gas and oil, China has secured 20 + years of cheap energy, which is major component of industrial production and infrastructure building.

It’s about setting a statement: Russia is bankrupt. Russia bonds are 16 cent a dollar.

Only to US bondholders. Russia willing to honor the debt, but US gov't says no. Russia keeps the US dollars as foreign reserve, but US bondholder gets screwed. Rest of the world keep doing business as usual. It's a screwed up world when debtor is prevented to pay off debts.

Wrong
Only US banks are forbidden to settle the payments.
Russia can pay in dollars via own banks or foreign banks, however refuses to do so.
“Rest of the world”? It’s 1/3.
2/3 of global economy puts Russia under sanctions.

Any proof on the 2/3 of the global economy? EU hasn't sanctioned Russia oil and gas, so much of the hubris is just bs. G7 accounts for less than 32% of global gdp in ppp, and only 36 % of global industrial production.

So when will Germany going to recognized Taiwan as independent nation? I am waiting and don't make me wait too long.

Nobody deny Taiwan entry Into WHO but they must dropped republic of Taiwan title and enter as Chinese Taipei.

The USA accepts that some USA citizens and some citizens of allied and friendly countries would be financially damaged, even destroyed, if the USA prevents Russia from paying these people what Russia owes them. The USA is saying: "Tough luck! You should not have loaned money to Putin in the first place." The USA hope would be to make all creditors fearful of loaning Russia money for the foreseeable future. Of course, there will be some "loan sharks", like the PRC, who will still make loans, highly collateralized. In fact, there may be the opportunity to "take over" important Russian energy and mineral assets by making such loans. But only a very, very powerful entity like China could make such a play and have a realistic chance of making the Russians pay.

Lol.. delusionist from some who smoke western weed.
Lmao, you're hilarious. No wonder no one takes you seriously.

Do you think Russia China can perform some form of debt swap with lenders? China can take Russia's USD payments in return for resources from Russia. Say what you will about Russian economy, they still produce energy that the world needs at competitive rates :undecided:
Russia will have to look towards new markets to sell its products, ones that don't care about the threat of US/EU sanctions.

That's gonna be a hard sell.

As for the currency swap idea, I don't expect it
