US retailers looking past China for suppliers see costs jump 30%

If such milking by Elon Musk can provide business to thousands of Chinese supplier and employ thousands of Chinese worker. I think is a win win deal for China.
True but it is additional burden on state / province finances. The problem with subsidies is that it gets abused, I know some businesses have exploited these subsidies to produce and sell cars to shell leasing companies or ride share business and claim credits for a vehicles that are doing nothing but gathering dust. And clearly, the incentives should not extend to vehicles that are exported but it does.

Good advice for Chinese companies trying to sell in the US. Sanctions, unfound security reasons, or simply hatred screwed these American-friendly Chinese companies whose CEOs have too rosy views of the US.
Those retards with rosey view and children like naivety aboutvwest deserve all the shit thrown at them,no sympathy.

Agreed. The CEOs or their family members will be arrested on bogus reasons in ANY Western nation and prosecuted in the US. In addition, their overseas hordes of assets will be confiscated. If Huawei's and Russia's examples could not wake them up, nothing will.

Can you name some examples of these people grabbed off the streets and having their assets seized?

For instance most Western CEO's stay in line because while it is easy for an Eastern CEO to flee to the West and live a comfortable life; it is a step backwards for a Western one to flee to the East. So they have nowhere to go basically.

Huawei. She was pretty much locked up for several years for some bogus charges that eventually decided by the courts as unfound.

Lol.. nowu talk about having job secure for Chinese and business for Chinese supplier is a burden. Maybe u are sourgrape our China attraction for foreign investment.

And you think Chinese government subsidies will cos more than Elon musk investment of factory in China? Mind u , the subsidies is also for other Chinese EV maker and not for Tesla only.

Great example!

Reporters camp outside Meng's home at 1603 Matthews Avenue, Vancouver, BC, Canada where she spent her years under house arrest.

Her assets were not seized (obviously since she spent the time in her home) as she was under house arrest.

However those two Canadians got snatched off the street and thrown into jail. That's exactly an example of what you are talking about.

The illegal seizing of assets occured to many Russians, not YET to Chinese expatriates because China is not YET in a warring state with the US. The illegal seizing were well documented and brought a great exodus of foreign investment from the US. The exodus, including the selling of US bonds, are still going on. Assets held in US dollars are no longer deemed favored because of politics. I guess you're quite ignorant of events, of the causes and facts, and eventually the outcomes.

The Biden regime also illegally seized Afghanistan's $7billions deposits too. BTW, that's seizing a nation's assets when that nation is in great needs to address its rampant hunger and the resulting children-selling problems. Now talk about double standard and 'humane' cause?

If it was just a win win for China only dont you think the US will.alao use the same method to give huge subsidies to BYD and other Chinese EV makers to set up shop in the US so the US can also benefit from this so called win win situation for its industry ? Lol Howeever, the US is actually doing the opposite. They are now excluding(since Trump era)basically everything chimese to set up shop there. In fact they will rather any other country benefits from such subsidies except China. 🤣 and here you are celebrating the Chinese government making an exception for a US company Tesla to own 100% of their factory/company and huge subsidies for their plant where they are now making billions of dollars from with no real drawbacks. For me it's even more of a WIN WIN for this American company. BYD will kill to be given such an opportunity wirh the same conditions Tesla got from china in US 😁
This just shows that the US still has the upper hand(which is normal as they are still the world's only military, economic and technological superpower ) so they can afford to take some drastic measures against their opponent while China is still a developing country and so CCP is actually right in my opinion to prioritise job employment opportunities for China , reason China hasn't taken any measures against US companies setting up shop in China , if anything China is actually trying to make it even easier and offer more subsidies to attract more US and western companies (which is actually a good thing in my opinion..afterall the country is still striking to reach high income status as a whole. So it's need every investment it can get.

In other words the original shining example you proudly posted suddenly doesn't fit your alleged narrative so now you are desperately searching for an example that can.

Keep in mind BYD was the one back in 2009 that said they will be the first company to bring a family passenger 100% EV car to the world market...this is back before Tesla was even a public company. They even said they would be opening a factory in North America to make it.

The reality is BYD failed in its promise of technology leaving Elon Musk to fill the gap. Tesla started selling well in China to the point where it was the #1 EV sold there. Tesla was the one building the overseas factories...

BYD only became world famous very recently, so is China's overall anto industries, besides, what happened in the past doesn't mean much to today's fast developing China, no one can deny that BYD, along with the whole China's auto industry progressed in leaps and bounds in the past couples of years, it almost feels like they are becoming unstoppable.

As for Tesla, it's more of a Chinese company than US now, Tesla's whole supply chain is in China's hand, supporting the employment and the whole related industries in China.

LOL! The typical perpetual Chinese mindset of trying to take credit for the work of others!!! hahahaha!!!!

I suppose you think the engineering and design of Tesla's cars were done by the Chinese too?

The fact of the matter is BYD (unlike Tesla) did not have the ability to bring a 100% EV to the world market even though as a battery company they had a technology headstart.

As usual a superior Western company (in this case an American one) not only took over the reigns from BYD but actually went into BYD's backyard of China and has had their cars models either the #1 seller or in the top 3 in a market with dozens of Chinese EV makers.

If anything we can call BYD's complete failure as one of the main contributing factors to making Elon Musk the richest man in the world...and having his name go down in the history books as the man who started the conversion of cars from gasoline to batteries.

Tesla's supply chain is in China's hand, it's a known fact, check out the sales of EVs in recent years, Tesla is not gaining in China, it's losing in China, BYD increases in leaps and bounds, it's also a fact, are you going to deny them?

You are probably right
