US refuses to back Indian Modi’s claims on Azad Kashmir & Balochistan

I know there is a lot of chest-thumping going on here. "Modi sarkar ne Pakistan aatangwaadion ko dikha diya etc."

But if you examine the situation with a calm mind, you will see, that regardless of Pakistan involvement in J&K, it has maintained the diplomatic norms and professionalism. The Modi government, seems brash and unprofessional, and it has come to bite them already a few times since the death of Burhan Wani. The US and UN have refused to endorse the Indian position either.

United States of America refuses to back Indian Prime Minister Modi’s claims

Many US law makers have repeatedly written to Modi and have called upon many Indian officials to stop the persecution of minorities inside India for the past two years. In fact, another letter was sent a few weeks ago. More recently, as of last week, a few times, the US law makers have spoken on Kashmir and the disturbance there to humans living there, and the loss of life and hostility against them!!

So knowing all this, why would the US say anything about Pakistani held Kashmir when there is no 7 military men deployed over 1 civilian?? When people live there in peace? And the Baluchis....the US won't ever support them as a few thousand are murdering others under the name of "nationalism", same crap that Modi believes in across the border and allows mass murders of Christians, Muslims, etc, to take place under the same "nationalism" anthem!!

US stays away from Modi’s position on Balochistan

WASHINGTON: In a carefully calibrated statement on Balochistan, the United States on Monday stayed away from an Indian effort to generate an international controversy over the restive province of Balochistan and instead urged all parties to resolve their differences peacefully.

In India’s Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused Pakistan of committing human rights violations in Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir and claimed that people of those regions had thanked him for supporting them.

Pakistan reacted angrily to the speech, calling it a breach of international norms and intrusion in the country’s sovereignty.

“We have consistently urged all parties in Pakistan to work out their differences peaceably and through a valid political process,” a US State Department official told Dawn when asked to comment on the situation in Balochistan following Mr Modi’s comments.

In an earlier statement, also about Balochistan, the department’s deputy spokesman Mark Toner had assured Pakistan of its support to the country’s territorial integrity.

Another State Department official said there had been no change in the US policy on this issue.

Replying to a question, the official said: “We have seen reports of the clashes between protesters and Indian forces in Kashmir, and are concerned by the violence.”

As in his comments on the situation in Balochistan, the official encouraged “all sides to make efforts towards finding a peaceful resolution”.

Commenting on Mr Modi’s statement, Pakistani officials and media said he was trying to hide the atrocities committed by Indian security forces in held Kashmir by bracketing the situation in the valley with Balochistan, which, unlike Kashmir, was not a disputed territory.

But the Indian effort to internationalise the situation in Balochistan received support from the Bangladeshi government and former Afghan president Hamid Karzai.

During a visit to India, Bangladeshi Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu said Bangladesh supported Mr Modi’s stand on Balochistan and would soon make a policy declaration on the issue. Mr Karzai said Mr Modi’s remarks should make the Pakistan government “see the gravity of the situation”.

What are you talking senseless.....Kashmir is between Pakistan & India, an international dispute. Where India has committed and continue till today sub-human atrocities. I donot understand when noone ever has bothered about any Baloch issue whether Iranian or Pakistani sistan - Balochistan.....Indian is bending backwards to internationalise and exaggerate it false and fake stories. Why so?

Modi begged world, he even did a speech on 15th August Independence Day to internationalise Balochistam...but wat he got....a biggest insult that any PM can get....ur Indian govt. worth level of Karzai's & Bengalis....the wide world didnot even bother to pay attention to Modi claims.

Now u say US is busy in elections....lol....Obama govt is in power he is not fighting election. US State Department & US Govt. has already shut-up Indians. China grilled you Indians... How much more Indians are going to get smacked. rejected and insulted by so many shoes thrown at its face.
