US presence comforting, Beijing’s perceptions irrelevant – State Dept. on S. China Sea tensions

See this funny argument

The spoke person is literarily desterilized by the reporter, I think he gonna be replaced very soon ...and then accuse the reporter for speaking for China...LMAO

. .
I am glad that some americans like the reporter have finally woken up and see the simple fact, that America is never the solution, but part of the problem.

Crossing half the globe and camping on other people‘s doorstep is always a disgraceful act and downright sordid,no matter how you try to justify it.

I think his name is Matt Lee, one of the good journalists, that never shy to ask relevant questions.

It's not militarization when the U.S.A. does it

Its not raising tensions when the U.S.A is militarizing Asia and pressuring its pawns so called "allies" to confront China against their own interests.

UNCLOS matters when it isn't about the U.S.A.

I-its not just our view we are forcing on them but that of a mythical majority of the international community that doesn't exist therfore its not hypocrisy when we are forcing our stupid narrative on them that excuses our military pressure on them as "freedom", "protection of peace" and "stabilization" and somehow China shouldn't take it as militarization.

Wow great arguments lad.

And this is supposed to be one of the more competent people who run the U.S. military?

I watched the video but failed to find anything funny in it. Do chinese clowns here want to share which part of the video is funny?

The funny party is that the spokesman representing the US government accusing the reporter speaking for China, which is very inappropriate and rarely seen any where around the world, you dim Vietnamese just don't get it.

it sounds funny to you, for non-chinese it isn´t funny at all. it is very common to observe such discussions in Q&A sessions in the West. in China, it is common the speaker just reads statements from CCP or from Xi Jinping or whoever. very boring.

Even if one accuses other of being someone something such as a speaker of Chinese government or chinese clown. So you can sit down and keep quiet.

But claiming a large swath of the sidewalk in front of people's houses as your own is just fine...

Vietnamese are born clowns, jumping up and down, while still being ignored by major world powers. What do Vietnamese know about the west? It's fairly OK for reporters to ask sharp questions but not a spokes person accusing the reporters for doing so.

How far is Guam away from US?

Claiming ownership of a sidewalk does not mean banning people from walking on it.

Your so called FON demonstration could have just worked in our favor. The table has turned, now the US is perceived as the biggest and an uninvited bully in SCS, even by your very own people, which is why I don't recall any of your presidential candidate played the SCS card during their campaign.

You better find some new excuses soon if you want to keep meddling in the SCS,or your people at home will most certainly demand the next president to focus on the many domestic ills and leave the peace loving China alone.

. .
But you can. At your convenience.
Capabilities are perceived as threats regardless of intentions, great. I dont know if it's a unique american way of thinking or a paranoia which comes with having too much to lose.

I can see that same logic applied to north korea as well.
