If i remember it correctly pending CSF payments were to the tune of some US$ 700+million and not 9 Billion!

2nd your game changer in the Indian engagement were the AMARAAM equipped F-16's!! Whether we like it or not US equipment is top of the line and battle tested. If we can get hold of it without strings attached on a quid pro quo basis than i am all for it.

Same is the case with Zulu's. PA knows what it was buying and it would have formed the heavy punch of Air Cav units of PA rounded off with ATAK.

We need to realize that with the changing environment, we need to re-engage quickly with US otherwise UAE/KSA will ditch us too. With Iran, India and Afghans not on our side...things will look bad for us rather quickly.

China can do so much and not more. They are far more critical negotiators as compared to any of the above actors. They will ditch or slow down the CPEC if they see real threat to Pakistan. China wants to do business with India. The sheer size of their market can not be denied.

These are hard facts...we might not like them for now but we need to navigate our way to safer waters as best as we can and as quickly as we can.

Getting US on a neutral stance viz a viz Pakistan is now a necessity to neutralize India to some extent.

US may release CSF funding for Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Ruling out possibility of any rescheduling of foreign debt under Paris Club arrangement with the blessings of USA, Pakistan might see positive movement on release of pending funds of $9 billion from USA in shape of Coalition Support Fund (CSF). But this could only happen if truce in Afghanistan struck successfully as Washington is expecting some ‘positive outcome’ by September 2019.
In case of successful completion of peace talks at Doha and signing of pact among different Afghan stakeholders, the Trump administration could propose amendment for restoring military aid for Pakistan. The restoration of military aid might also pave the way for release of pending CSF bills ranging up to $9 billion.

Few months back for building wall on mexico boarder Trump reallocated the 1.5 Billion dollars from CSF of which they said 900 was for AFG and 600 Millions for Pakistan.yeh 9 billions kahan sy ???

I kow I know, I was just being sarcastic. There were some misconceptions there in the not so distant past especially after CPEC and Yemen but I think that has been cleared so I'm happy. We need them and they need us. Sometimes brothers are also there only for their need...i hope thats not the case here
