US keen to partner India on defence modernisation

US is a strange nation when Bush was leaning to India the whole administration was against it and now it seems Obama is doing it in the pressure from administration ;)

Even though some of news came out about trusting india with tech lets say Javelin was a economic problem But we were denied C2 system based on Delta Land warrior program and even US companies were not allowed to do consultancy work in 2012. Now according to another thread we are taking Israeli help.
Point being Uncle Sam's actions and words are not matching

The IN is different in US eyes; not like a favorite child or anything like that.....hehehe.
The US is keen to revive a strong presence in the ASPAC region and the IOR, but is stretched in the Pacific with some assets for ASEAN. Then what about the IOR?
American policies are calibrated carefully and the the Indo-US relationship is not so one-sided as before. Post 2014, the picture will become even more clear.
But remember, India is not and will not pitch its entire "wish-list" at the US, nope.

US never gives key tech to other nations... specially with ToT...
But then they turn around and offer javelin co development and production.

US offers to co-develop new Javelin missile with India | Business Standard
yes but even in that they aren't sharing the guidance system ( according to some news posted here ) which is said to be the heart of the system. Some knowledgeable expert can tell you more. I am not a weapon specialist ;)

Same news thousand of time..If US is keen partner of India why not they sale Javlin technology to India.

When the US uses the term 'partner' it usually means it wants to sell us really expensive stuff.

Then monitor how we use those stuff and then blackmail us by denying us spare parts. Surely the whole world knows what US 'partnership' means ...... pakistan is still getting bombed by drones after become US partner and reliable allay :D
