The U.S has run away before only to come back

The U.S is acting like a drama queen, its not got its away so its stomping its feet and holding its breath in some sort of first teenage period induced hissy fit

The U.N will go on but the yanks are looking more like clowns every day that passes

They have done similar things 80s.

During Ronald Reagan Presidency, US stopped funding a number of UN departments and offices (I think UNESCO was one of them).

Their next step may be stopping the funds.

Ive hated American foreign policy for ages but always had a healthy respect for the nation but under Trump they are deplorable!

Dude get real. US on their own a UN equaling power. America is the only super power in the world today. Their normal defence budget is more than 600 billion. And think about their ability to spend more on war footing. US is not a joke as some people bashing here.

And of course if US pulls out of UN UN will be nothing more than a joke. US provides security for most of the countries in the world. Every single EU nations are free because of US involvement. Why US have to spend more than others if they are not special in UN Council?

Today's UN itself a body created by US initiative. Read history brother. Post ww2 US if acted like communist and nazis they could had conquered most parts of the world. Soviets were just best opponent among the rest. Don't mean Soviet Union or today's Russia is as equally powerful like US. Avoiding war and pining down your enemies in other means like economy and influence are considered as better strategy than risking all
