It is not like we are cry babies... Every country will do it when its enemy is being armed.... Super power China does cry when USA arms tiny Taiwan.... even Super power USA cried when Russia sold AK 47 rifles to Venezuela under Chavez.... we are ordinary India after all....

F-16 with AIM 120 and J-10 with PL 15 is a nightmarish scenario for any country.... But only and only when its Airborne.... there is no need to loose our sleep over this..... We have BRAHMOS and now if I am not wrong with 800 plus KM range..... Just knock down the air bases before they are airborne.... We have now Air launched version too avail with Thanjavar based Flanker squadron.....

If these fighters are airborne before BRAHMOS attack then still destroy the bases and make sure they are in no position to land back, get serviced and ready for next sorties.... they can try to land on motorway but they cannot be fully serviced to the level they get serviced on air base.... target motorway too and destroy it beyond repair for any immediate action.... Even HIMARS types can be procured on emergency basis..... relax......

Brahmos isn't the answer for everything. You have Brahmos whilst Pakistan has the Babur CM. The same thing could be said wrt Indian Air bases and the Babur.

Jai Shankar has been crying for a while now. Many here on PDF think BJP crying started with F-16 spares etc. It didn't. Indian FM has been crying for the past few months. All you have to do is Google. This is because the Americans are letting the Indians know that their relationship with Russia must end.

The Americans want to turn India into a complete bitch state. That means no independent foreign policy such as dealings with Russia. Babur is good but subsonic and India due to large depth will have much more breathing space to counter this threat....

The latest iteration of Babur [Babur 1B] has over a 900km range, possibly in the 1000km range mark. That means, hypothetically speaking, any air base or military base within that range can and would be targeted and destroyed. That's 900km. Bases outside of that range would have hell of a time trying to get to the front considering how large of a distance they now to travel and take off from.

Wrt to which will be detected and intercepted first, Brahmos is a supersonic cruise missile which has a much higher IR signature compared to the Babur Cruise missile. On top of that the Babur Cruise missile can use terrain hugging features to further increase its chance on reaching and destroying its target. Brahmos is good but its not the best nor is it a super duper wonder weapon that would win you the war.

You are whining. So is your FM. Holding daylight therapy sessions. Your FM is clearly protesting the F-16 maintenance package to Pakistan. You are right about one thing. Of course the F-16s will be used against India. Won't India use Rafale and other defence equipment against Pakistan? Isn't it a little disingenuous on India's part to protest when this country is one of the biggest buyers of military hardware? India is having difficulty breathing with regards to F-16s. Still its just subsonic weapon and any country will choose Brahmos over Babur.... Now the range is also 800 plus KMs maybe even more.... about IR signature we have seen that in Miyan Channu episode.... If malfunctioned missile can go so deep then better not speak about Brahmos fired intentionally from Air, Land and sea....

Until we have our own alternatives that are upto par with American fighter jets we will always be slaves to those who can guarantee us our security (America).

We can hate America all we want, but their military equipment's record speaks for itself. Just imagine if we didn't have a quality jet like the F-16s.

Thankfully with China's rapid growth in the defence sector and Turkey's TFX, we will have viable options to branch away without risking our security and it will loosen America's grip on us.

We know that F-16 is there against India only.... after all terrorist do not have air force.... But I will still appreciate our FM or overall Govt. for taking such a big stance over just support equipment..... Tomorrow cannot say confidently but we will have slim chances of stopping something offensive to land in Pak from America.... our today's stance gives us chance to leverage something advance in future.... USA cannot afford to completely forget Indian weapon market and strategic alliance with India just to please Pakistan who is almost 80% now in China camp.....
