I just dont understand why we dont accept Israel and move on? Why such hypocrisy? If we can get all this without even accepting or establishing normal diplomatic relations, imagine what we can do once we accept Israel. Just my 2 cents

Nothing wrong with recognizing Israel. The problem is that most people think that if we recognize them then we leave the Palestinian Issue behind...Plus our Islamic Parties and Middle East allies will not like this move....

Its time we should stop giving a **** about what others would think. Did Middle East drop its ties with India over Pakistan? No, so why should we shy away from recognising another country? As for the good for nothing molvis, they need to be hanged with the poles.

Egypt and Jordan have diplomatic relations with Israel. Turkey just normalized its relations with Israel. Saudi Arabia has unofficial relations with Israel. So who exactly will Pakistan be offending? The Palestinans?

These type of questions arise when people look at a problem in isolation. Pakistan's stand is based on a sound principal that no one has the right to occupy a sovereign land and declare it their country. If we recognise Israel, then we should say good bye to our stand on Kashmir also.

What we will achieve or get by starting diplomatic relation with the state of Israel ? nothing some Arab countries and Turk maintain diplomatic relation because of their defense needs but we have no defense interest in Israeli defense relation and products even they will not sacrifice their Indian relations for Pakistan. Israel supplied India weapons and other necessary equipment to India during Kargil war even in past they are minutes away to bomb our nuclear installations.

This will lead to Pakistan losing all the votes by Arab nations at UN. Not a pretty scenario. There is not much to gain from this. Votes at UN are very important. Votes matter. Correctness of your stance does not!

I think that is a weak stand. Isreal is here to stay. When all the arab countries have ties directly or indirectly - why is there a farse of maintaining a posture. It gets no deals - just for the sake of getting begging money from the GCC - there is no other reason.
My 2 cents. Even in our country we still have close ties with Isreal despite a major shift in government. We have probably the 3rd largest jewish diaspora.
