Mili thi Zindagi Allah ko raazi karne ke liye...,

(Life was granted to please God)

Par waqt beet raha hai kagaz ke tukde kamane k liye

(But time was devoted to earn bits of paper money)kya karoge itna paisa kamakar...?

(What will be done with earning this much money?)Na kafan me jeb hai, na Qabar may Almari...,

(In the coffin there is no pockets nor is there a cupboard to stash the wealth)aur ye maut ke Farishtey to rishwat bhi nahi lete...

(and these angels of death accept no bribe)

Qabristaan Ke Baihar Likha Tha:

(outside of the graveyard was written:)"Manzil To Teri Yahi Thi,

(This was your destination)Bas Zindgi Guzar Gayi Aate Aate,

(Life was spent just to come here)Kya Mila Tujhe Is Duniya Se,

(What did you get from this world?)Apno Ne Hi Dafna Diya Tujhe Jaate Jaate."

(Your own buried you and went their ways)"Aaj Amal hai, Hisaab nahi.

(Today is your deeds, not accountability)Kal Hisaab hoga, Amal nahi..!"

(Tomorrow is accountability, not deeds

Sona na chandi na koi mehal janeman
Tujh ko main
Day sakoon ga

Phir bhi yeh wada hai tujh say
Tu jo karay pyar mujh say
Chota sa ghar tujh ko doon ga
Dukh sukh ka sathi banoon ga

shaikh saahib ka eemaan mit hi gaya, dekh kar husn-e-saaqi pighal hi gaya
The shaikh’s faith was obliterated; upon seeing the cup-bearer’s beauty, it melted away

آج سے پہلے یہ کتنے مغرور تھے، لٹ گئی پارسائی مزہ آ گیا
aaj se pehle ye kitne maghroor the, lut gaii paarsaaii maza aa gaya
Before today, how proud he was; now his piety has been lost – how enjoya

Mera Dil, Meri Razm Gah-E-Hayat
Gamanon Ke Lashkar, Yaqeen Ka Sabaat

My heart, my battlefield of life
where unshakeable belief tames legions of wild fantasies
