Here is an update on our fight against ISIL:
Pentagon Spokesperson, Army Col. Steve Warren, confirmed that about 25-30 percent of Iraqi territory has been re-gained by the Coalition Forces against ISIL. This 25-30 percent includes key populated areas in Northern and Central Iraq which had been terrorized by ISIL since late summer last year. According to Col. Warren, “among other strategic infrastructure and sizeable towns where ISIL has lost territory are Mosul Dam, Zummar and the vicinity of Sinjar Mountain.”
We hope to continue our collaborative operations against ISIL and with the help of our allies gain irreversible success in bringing peace and stability in the region.
