Update of FATF Meeting: Outcomes FATF Plenary, 21-23 February 2018

.
I banned this stupid troll. So far there has been no official announcement from the FATF.

.
USA tried to move the motion but it failed before being placed forward and report is in front of you. The meeting has started from 18th feb.

Where did you get February 18th? The plenary session ran from February 21 to 23. It even states at the top of the report:

http://www.fatf-gafi.org/publications/fatfgeneral/documents/outcomes-plenary-february-2018.html

I don't disagree with that the motion has failed, but that the media coverage of the whole affair was shoddy. Both India and Pakistan media jumped the gun.

. .
US fined HBL of Pakistan 225 million $ a few months ago for terror funding. May be this is a result of that?

.
Nothing in the list... which has been published...

They may have asked pak to tighten up the belt which is fine...

Nothing will happen in June ... just pak will present a plan... and China Turkey and ksa will find it satisfactory

Rest assured....

Read details. There were discrepancies over money transfer which most probably involved looted money by NS however, nothing made an appearance before public in this regard. No relation established nor Pakistan being put on list.

Exactly. Nothing to worry.

There were meetings before this eventual meeting. Those meetings were more diplomatic type but here I have to mention one thing that Pakistan's name was never taken there and has not been taken till now. I have been following the FATF closely and could not find any thing.

There is no such confirmation in this regard. What if WSJ relied upon same news as Wajahat did, generated from Delhi. Only 3 or more votes can block any ban and currently, Pakistan is not on the list hence, proven that currently the bid failed.

Let's wait for release of names, in-case happened as such. Also, KSA is not alone to hold a veto power in FATF but as far as I know, it is GCC to use a single vote. KSA individual status is only an observer so stating that KSA did not vote, is wrong in the first place.

actually FATF is to blame here... they did not clear this... as per list pakistan is missing so its only logical to assume they decided not to put pakistan on list but on the other hand we see lots of US & India media with good reputation saying pakistan is on the list...
only if FATF replies on so many tweets for same they can clear this or might be this is a way for USA to put pressure on pakistan to do more on haqqanis I suppose?

Speaking to Geo News correspondent Khalid Hameed Farooqi, manager communications FATF Alexandra Wijmenga-Daniel said the list was "final".

When asked about reports circulating in international media claiming Pakistan had been added to the grey-list, she said FATF was not responsible for reports in the media.

There you have it. The list is Final and FATF take NO responsibility for Indian and Indian inspired media.

.
Why pakistan isn't mentioned in the meetings section of the FATF website.

Probable current status.

Every thing is open as a glass of water and Pakistan's name is not any where on the list. lol

EU gives Pakistan favourable review for GSP+ status

This is a bonus slap for India......

The journos and individual accounts are not reliable in this regard where, nothing officially announced. The fake news was already debunked by FATF official earlier stating that FATF did not put Pakistan in watch-list and such news is incorrect. Irresponsible media houses/media personnel hungry for rating, rushed over non verified news to claim superiority over others for PR, ended miserably for quoting false news.

In a statement Financial Action Task Force (FATF) spokesperson Alexander Daniela has denied that Pakistan had been included in the grey-list.While speaking to a private media channel Daniela that the final decision will come once the matter has been reviewed, currently the meeting is underway.
