It takes great deal of courage to address the subjects of untouchability in various TV programs like Amir's stayamev jayate or in Shoaib Mansoor's movies like Bol to bring spotlight on the conditions and the social discrimination attached with the people of whom they are called K@njar,chura,bhangi ,dalit,harijan etc.Shaming the society is best way to get rid of these practices like amir is doing or shohaib mansoor did in bol.

Good show, except the professor in the first clip - her story sounds like a book selling effort. I mean she got kicked out of so many houses (she mentions like 4-5), but these people did not just ask her BEFORE giving her their properties???

And why does the idiot bring in India's tourism development slogan with this well known social issue???

Casteism is one of the biggest evils that we are facing in our country today.
I would request all my fellow Indians to discourage casteism wherever it is possible.
If you see any of ure frend or any other person making a remark regarding caste, tell them not to do this. Tell them how it is creating a divide in our country.
Use whatever platforms we have to spread awareness.

BTW to indian posters, stop using reservation if you belong to well to do family, don't avoid communicating and respecting so called lower caste people. Segregate your friends who support this high caste mentality. We use to mock anyone who spoke about castism. Also those whose parents used to earn over 1 lakh a month through corruption but used reservation quota to get into IIMs etc.

Initiate at institutes like private organizations, schools and colleges, so that this younger generation will become the support for the these so called Untouchables.

What you see and read in the news is just an iota of the problem. The problem is so much severe that it will need atleast 50 years to get rid of it and I am being too optimistic. Even doctors and engineers don't go to marriages of their neighbors who are of backward caste. THese are the educated people, leave the illiterate and rural people.
