GENEVA:
At least 106 journalists were killed in 2011, among them 12 in Mexico and 11 in Pakistan, making them the most dangerous countries to work in, a campaign group said on Monday.

Twenty journalists who reported on the Arab spring uprisings were killed this year and more than 100 others were attacked, intimidated, arrested and wounded in countries including Egypt, Libya, Syria, Tunisia and Yemen, the Geneva-based Press Emblem Campaign said.

“The casualties could be higher if figures were known for journalists who were victims of enforced disappearances,” the group said in a statement.

Pakistan came second with 11 journalists killed, the majority of whom died on the border with Afghanistan, followed by Iraq, Libya and the Philippines.

Many Journalist are killed because of their personal Disputes because most in Journalism use it to influence others get property and other stuff in which they make lot of enemies and that sometimes result in their murders unfortunate but still its many times Journalist own faults :hitwall:

Journalism very risky profession not only in Pakistan but all over the world. Journalist usually used their information for various interests so sometime their interests come where they shouldn't be. Seeking for access to sensitive materials of any issue where sometime they go against matters of national security but they need story to prove personal capabilities. When journalist will work in frames of their actual duties, the rate of murder will decrease.

But we shouldn't ignore efforts of journalists against crimes where most of risk they faced in crime reporting.

Outspoken not = to unbiased. One can be outspoken when it comes to disseminating ISI/Govt. propaganda too..

Now before you jump on me, I am not saying that is the case with Pak Media, just pointing out the invalidity of your statement; logically speaking.
