Unmanned Underwater Vehicle

Underwater gliders seem to be promising. They can be used by submarines as passive detectors of surface threats such as the ACTUV mentioned above with passive sonars. When actuv is detected the small underwater glider drone can go to proximity of surface drone and detonate itself. An active protection measure against detection perhaps.

If the drone is close enough it can communicate data with the mothership submarine to a degree. thus controllable under water.

One idea for use it in underwater drone could be the next.

Imagine a underwater drone that it would be under a foe submarine/ship/carrier and it will release a plasma ionized gas under the ship propeller.
The high speed revolutions of foe propeller with plasma ionized around the propeller could make a electric shock with a cheap cost for the attacker?
Maybe this idea is a nonsense, but it could be a inspiration for another idea that it really works hehe.

That would cavitate and melt the propeller , with shock effects . Even may damage the propulsion system , shaft.
Those systems are vulnarable to transverse loads,with high inertia and revolving at high speeds. Another external propeller might be used instead of this.
