These clauses were already there, nothing new. They stand for the 18 F-16 Blk-52s located at PAF base Shahbaz. The remaining fleet can be stationed at any base.

reason being that Chinese engineers and pilots at any given time are often on Pakistani soil or at the bases.....they dont want Chinese anywhere near these aircrafts since they are scared of China reverse-engineering the technology

quite frankly - the Chinese are already catching up regardless....only real tech gap is on stealth/stealthy composite materials production and signals intelligence/electronic warfare

After events at LOC and LAC looks like some feel good type of thingy for Indians.

At LOC you just received bullets nothing else ..... It seems like some feel good type of thingy for LAC china episode even as no they where connected to this matter.

If these "rules" are true and Pakistan actually follows them then Pakistan is stupid. US is stupid too, giving big toys away like that and expecting that country to follow our rules when using them.
unless you believe some idiots from india.. :)

Aren't these aircrafts part of the aid that US is giving to the Pakistan? Pakistan is getting it for free . I beleive US would definitely have a say in how their aid is utilized.

nope, wrong on all accounts....these aircrafts were paid for and you conveniently forgot about a squadron worth of aircraft PAID FOR by Pakistan (Peace Gate III) which were moth-balled and kept in dry storage -along with hundreds of millions of USD worth of funds from Min. of Defense to US exchequer

the Americans warned us about sanctions....we knew what we were getting ourselves into, and knew the unreliable nature of the Americans when it came to their foreign policy goals. Going nuclear was worth more than even 10+ squadron of F-16s

A somewhat breaking news item concerning Pakistan is being carried out by Indians where as there's no mention being made anywhere in the Pakistani media.... This is like Dawn breaking the news that Tejas first squadron is operational.
Proof if it were needed, the psychological grip the F-16 has on the Indians mindset. !!

for manned aircrafts as well as remotely piloted ones, as can be recalled

Nope... they are PAID for by Pak... unless you think US gave 5.5 billion $ for the 52s,mlu kits n weapons..
OK my bad..I take that back. If you purchased it then I don't see why anyone would have any issues how you use it.

To the Indian Media's pointless whining. The restrictions they refer to are not just applicable to Pakistan and essentially are there to ensure that the VERY advanced tech aboard these vipers is not looked at by any other personnel. Other than those personnel authorized to visit the aircraft and operate it there are no unauthorized personnel allowed. The pilots and maintainers go through similar checks. Similar checks exist in Turkey with their block-50s.. and Oman..
With Pakistan the base restriction apply to ensure that the ever present Chinese(which are various bases for liaison and assistance) do not get the chance to look at these jets closely.

The rest, they can go all the way to Agre and pop open hangars for all the world cares.
