ISLAMABAD: On Pakistan Army's request a team of United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) has started a fact finding mission regarding unprovoked Indian firing on civilian population inside Pakistani territory near the working boundary, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

UNMOGIP officers based in Rawalpindi flew by helicopter into the affected area.

"The UNMOGIP observers visited Saleh Pur, Chaprar and Malane in Chaprar Sector near working boundary", ISPR statement confirmed.

UNMOGIP officers met with wounded civilians and witnessed the damage caused to civilian structures in the area. Civilians of the area also narrated first hand accounts of the incidents, according to the ISPR statement.

Pakistan fully utilises the office of UNMOGIP which is in place on both sides along the Line of Control and working boundary to investigate such incidents or violations by either side as per UN resolution.

UNMOGIP observers are also offered full access in Pakistan to investigate and bring the facts in front of the world.

they are only good at killing civilians ..
Civilians get killed from both sides..If your army has been so innocent what you have been doing since last decades or why lose proof every time? How brainwashed you people are!

Why do you think in almost every skirmish; India has more military casualties and less civilian casualties compared to Pakistan, but Pakistan loses more civilians but has less military casualties.

whatever makes you happy :)

Here is what Indians are told about, why there is shelling at the border
Pakistani Army starts shooting to give cover to militants to infiltrate.
Pakistani Army wants to keep Kashmir Issue at forefront to keep itself relevant.
Pakistani Army wants to portray civil Government incompetent therefore any understanding reached by Indo-Pak dialogues is to be berated and keeping borders hot serves it well.
Pakistani Army shoots at villages near LoC having Hindu population as it sometimes make Hindus leave Kashmir. It suits with the overall Pakistan strategy of Kashmir.
Can you tell me what you people are told or believe, the likely cause of BSF starting the shelling ? Since , I presume you believe that Pak Rangers never start any firing.

And why BSF is retaliating so hard and targeting civilians.

BSF's More than proportionate retaliation is aimed at to raise the cost of war for Pakistan ( this means shelling at IB and villages )

During Kargil operations Pakistani Media was told that this operation has nothing to do with Pak Military and the attackers were Mujahideens. When your own army can not differentiate between Northern Infantry soldiers and Mujahideens then how can Wiki or any other source can give you the accurate Info.
